Meet Angela Hall

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angela Hall a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Angela , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

For me resilience is what I call the base word, because my story of my life not only comes with resilience but also destiny and determination to thrive and build our Legacy (my sons name). My story is and can be a testimony for a lot of people. I met my best friend 2003 thru the bumps and bruises of a past relationship we ended up taking our relationship to the next level and building a family with two boys along the way and while being engaged. December 10, 2012 he passed due to a grand Mal seizure in which the life saving measures I took while paramedic took what seemed like forever didn’t make it in time. I was left a single mom with two boys and coping with my first big loss of my life. Going back and forth thru the grief, anger, and simply being loss I threw myself into caring for my kids (along with Amazing support from my mom), school, and work. I also went to therapy and not only met my mentor/friend but someone who helped me change my life and handle the grieving process, in which I know I was one of her hardest most stubborn patients. I went full mode in anything that helped me not to think of life and thru that I received my first degree , Bachelors in Psychology. About 4 to 5 years later after being closed from the thought of ever loving someone I met my soulmate Jonathan aka Hollywood the Star (He was an Artist) and it simply just fit. At that point I became Mrs.LadyHollywood and have branded and made a name for myself. He showed my how to love again not knowing it again would be my biggest heart break. In 2018 we got married , and a son (Legacy), and my family was complete with 3 boys and a girl (I gained a stepdaughter). During our marriage his dreams became apart of me and my dreams became apart of him. Together we started a Music Production Company, his career took off, and were both full time students in which I gained 2 Master Degree’s another in Psychology and Education. Life was amazing and his career was thriving so much that his music gained an offer to go to the UK in 2021. 2021 as we know was during COVID so we both received the vaccine, sadly after receiving the 2nd vaccine he passed 6 days later from a massive heart attack, and It seemed like my life repeated itself because I again a widow, with a family, and lost a piece of myself when loosing my soul mate. RESILIENCE is only a part of it, but it also comes along with Motivation, determination but also a Legacy that I know in my heart that must continue. I get asked how Im making it, and why am I so strong, because resilience, motivation and my faith has allowed me to keep striving and have become the CEO of 3 companies, build a brand, and be a testimony for others in hopes that my story can change someone else’s life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three most important Qualities/Skills that I feel that are most impactful in my life/career have been #1 to listen. I dont care how much I know/learn by simply listening I was able to learn and understand so much. #2 Being able to adapt to any environment I’m in, rather positive or negative I was able to make any situation my own and find the good. #3 Determination/Desire because without being determine and having a desire to accomplish something in life their has to be a passion to want it badly and set goals to accomplish what you desire. And last # 4 Tough skin, I say this because life is hard sometimes and things can be your biggest challenge. I had to realize the most important things in my life and career which is that everyone will not always say yes, don’t self doubt because you will get the doubt and comments enough from others, and last everyone that wants to sit at the table with you IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Once you learn that opportunities will come, so KEEP PUSHING!

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

My mom taught me strength and overcoming any obstacle in life. Growing up when there was no way she found a way, and did it with dignity. I come from a huge family in which my grandma had 10 kids ( 6 girls & 4 boys) at a very young age, I was raised around strong independent woman how overcame barriers and stood strong and work hard for what they wanted no matter what the situation was, and use life obstacles as a reason to do better. So my parents and my family has given me the same qualities. A t times it could be a blessing and a curse but for the most part a blessing. So IMPACT is not the word but learning from these women CHANGED MY LIFE.
