Meet Tyler Herron

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tyler Herron a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Tyler, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I got my work ethic just simply from watching my mom work very hard my whole life and that inspiring me. Also I grew up playing football so that also is where I get my work ethic from.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a musician and producer named “Blvxxkk”(black). The most special thing about my profession is giving the world music they can relate to and that could maybe help them through a rough time
like music has always done for me. I am currently working an album that will be dropping sometime this summer!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The 3 qualities that were most impactful in my journey is patience, hard work, & understanding the value of time. Without patience it’s kind of hard in my opinion things won’t always happen in ways you want so you just have to be patient and wait for the perfect timing.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed I like to take a mental day and just reflect on everything and think. I also like to be in nature and around family/friends. Being overwhelmed will always happen in this field of work it’s just up to you how you deal with it.
