Meet Monifa Angle

We were lucky to catch up with Monifa Angle recently and have shared our conversation below.

Monifa Angle, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Overcoming imposter syndrome begins with recognizing that you’re not alone in feeling this way. Even the most accomplished individuals sometimes doubt their abilities. Embrace your achievements and understand that they are the result of your hard work and dedication, not luck or chance. Start by acknowledging your feelings without letting them define you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At MTA Designs Studio, branding is more than just a job—it’s a passion deeply rooted in a mission to uplift and transform lives. For the past five years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to bringing our clients’ visions to life, helping them turn their unique gifts into thriving businesses. Seeing the joy and pride in our clients’ eyes as their brands flourish is the most rewarding part of our journey. We believe that everyone has a God-given talent, and our role is to harness that potential to create not just a brand, but a legacy. Whether it’s a small startup or a growing enterprise, we take pride in building brands that not only resonate with their audience but also create lasting wealth and opportunities for families. Every design, every strategy is crafted with care, authenticity, and a deep commitment to the success and happiness of our clients.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey with MTA Designs Studio, three key qualities have been instrumental to our success: putting God first, prioritizing customer relationships, and embracing a coachable mindset.

Putting God First: My faith has always been at the core of everything I do. Trusting in God’s guidance has provided me with clarity and strength, especially during challenging times. For those starting out, I encourage you to stay connected to your faith. It can be a source of unwavering support and inspiration as you navigate your path.

Customer Relationships: Building strong, genuine relationships with clients has been crucial. Understanding their needs, dreams, and fears allows us to create brands that truly resonate. My advice for beginners is to listen actively and show empathy. Make your clients feel valued and understood, and this will foster trust and loyalty.

Being Coachable: Being open to learning and growth has enabled me to continuously improve and adapt. I’ve embraced feedback and sought mentorship to refine my skills and business strategies. For those just starting out, remain open-minded and eager to learn. Seek out mentors, take constructive criticism positively, and never stop evolving.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
God! He has helped me through everything!
