Meet Tamya Peoples

 

We were lucky to catch up with Tamya Peoples recently and have shared our conversation below.

Tamya , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Growing up my mom always made sure my sisters and I knew we were prizes. As i grew into a young woman I took it upon myself to always be my biggest supporter and never doubt myself. I am reminded in my everyday life by strangers that my aura is beautiful and that I can be whoever i desire to be. I think in this life it’s important to have confidence in yourself because if you don’t who will ?

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Currently I spend a lot of my time modeling for brand shoots, being a video vixen in videoshoots, & building my youtube channel. Im also working towards expanding my lash business and starting many more. Modeling has been my dream job since childhood, i’d watch pageants from sunrise to sunset hoping to someday be in one. Thankfully this year Jan ‘24 i took a leap of faith and my modeling career began. I’ve been in 3 videoshoots and model clothes for different clothing brands. My very first video shoot was for rapper sgpwes – ( One of A Kind ), Secondly for raqbaby – ( Do You Love Me ) , and most recently my third videoshoot was for rapper lloaded – ( WYA ). I genuinely love everything about modeling and i’m so thankful to be progressing as fast as i have and being apart of the experiences I’ve gotten to be apart of. I started taking my youtube serious Jan ‘23 and a year later I currently have 900 subscribers. I love youtube just as much as i do modeling and the support is so overwhelming. I’m now adjusting to the modeling and youtuber life and hope for beautiful, genuine opportunities and experiences later on.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

What impacted me most was not being afraid to be in rooms i’ve never stepped in and surrounding myself around individuals with goals that align with mine. My advice to anyone chasing their dreams is to just keep going, whether you have the support you want or not. Don’t be afraid to fail or try something new because you’ll never know the outcome until you try.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I believe i’ve grown most in the last 12 months on social media. My Personal instagram ( @prettyasmyaa ) has 7k followers, Business page (@renaevisions) has 436 followers, my Youtube has 900 subscribers and my Tiktok ( @prettyasmyaa ) has 20.8k followers. I’m also very proud of my personal growth within and the young woman i’m becoming.
