We were lucky to catch up with Georgina Asamoah Boakye recently and have shared our conversation below.
Georgina, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
I prioritize activities that nourishes my mind, spirit and body. If something doesn’t align with my spirit I won’t go near it. If my mind rejects an activity I won’t get involved. I spend time on my hobbies, with loved ones and with people I can learn from or teach, reading and regular exercise.
This helps improve my focus and concentration, helps with my creativity as it’s needed in my field, better time management and helps improve productivity and allow me to also make positive impacts in the lives of those around me.

I’m thrilled to share my story and passion with your readers! I’m the founder and soap artisan behind Purple Leaf Soap House, a handcrafted soap-making business dedicated to creating nourishing, natural, and indulgent bath and body products.
What excites me most is the art of transforming simple ingredients into luxurious treats for the skin. I’m passionate about using only the finest natural ingredients, essential oils, and botanicals to craft unique soap recipes that not only cleanse but also moisturize and pamper the skin.

I started playing with natural ingredients at a young age, finding ways to eliminate chemicals in skin care products for myself , friends in high school and loved ones due to my own super sensitive skin on my back and hands.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
For me, the first thing that comes to mind when I’m asked this question is PASSION!.
A genuine enthusiasm for soap making and natural skincare and a commitment to delivering nothing but the best is the first thing you need.
Secondly you need resilience. The ability to overcome obstacles, challenges and maintaining a positive attitude and mindset is a skill that is highly valuable.
Professional training: After taking professional courses I noticed a massive improvement in overall performance and productivity.
