Meet Veronica Atkins

We recently connected with Veronica Atkins and have shared our conversation below.

Veronica, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience of thinking about my 17 year old son. He’s overcome multiple challenges and I know that his future is based upon the decision that I make to keep going. Our children watch everything that we do and I’m determined for my son to have a bright future full of financial security ,peace and covered by God.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the oldest of four girls originally from N.J. I developed a passion for supporting underserved communities from my amazing father . He was my greatest inspiration and support system. When he passed away I decided to honor his legacy by beginning the Donald G.Boone Foundation that supports not only individuals with disabilities to be empowered to live a financially healthy life but also empowers families to be mentally healthy . My mother was diagnosed with bipolar and she didn’t seek help until I was older so I endured a lot of abuse because of her mental battles. I used my childhood experiences as fuel to help others who experience abuse, mental illness and medical challenges to know that they can create the blueprint to their life. I empower families to break generational curses and to be confident to know that they are not their diagnosis. I’m also working with Wealth Builders and Kingdom Management where we teach financial literacy and financial freedom. In addition I am the CEO of National Notary Enterprise serving the state of Florida and Georgia. And I’m also one of the Board Members for the Disability Link. I’ve overcome abuse in previous relationships, lost my mind after grieving my father came experience discrimination and abuse at the same time . I developed a disability called long Covid that has caused me to develop health challenges but instead of being a victim God helped me to turn my adversity into a opportunity to become a Victor and to empower others to do the same .I have overcome women that I have supported committing slander and defamation of character . I overcome homeless and multiple challenges. With the help of God and the love of my son I have pushed through it all and I now work hard to help others climb high above and far beyond their past limitations to be the highest version of themselves and to turn their adversity into prosperity.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1.)The values that my father taught me about always being kind to everyone no matter who it is.
2.)Putting God first in every discussion that I make especially in business.
3.) Taking the time learning about the CFPB guidelines, law, finance, and business investing time with God learning that everything is spiritual.

I advice would be to put yourself in a environment where you feel motivated to grow, surround yourself with positive people that share your values and never compromise on your values and always invest time into learning something new everyday. Feed your mind, nurture your heart and be gentle with yourself through your growth journey.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My father not only has he taught me great values his love molded me to be the woman that I am today. He was a exceptional leader and he gave to everyone. He taught me to smile everyday. You never know who you will bless by just smiling.
