We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Valerie Vega Carolina Santana a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Valerie Vega with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
We get our work ethic from our father, who has been at his job for more than 30 years.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Our photo booth business began back in March 2021, after I decided that I no longer wanted to work for anyone else. Me and my sister, Carolina decided it was time we take a leap of faith and start our own business after COVID happened.
Our Photo Booth always brings that extra fun to any event we are hired for.
It makes me feel so happy when the guests enjoy the booth more than any other activities that come along. Our booth is always a hit!!!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Quality over quantity: always make sure you offer the best of the best. Your creativity says alot about your brand and the way you execute it
2. Whatever you do, do it good! As long as you’re always aiming to do your best, your authenticity will shine through!
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for us was: PUSH US!
Without them, we wouldn’t be here! They believed in us and now look at us, thriving with our business!
