We were lucky to catch up with Adi Shakti recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Adi , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I firmly believe that the visions we hold are divinely planted by the DREAM GIVER, destined for us to bring to life. These dreams don’t emerge from nowhere; they are intentional and purposeful. Especially when we hold a grand vision, it is crucial to act with integrity, continually refine our skills, and seize the opportunities to serve in greater capacities. Our desires are not random; each dream is unique and planted within us for a specific reason. Embracing this belief has helped me align with my purpose and confidently move forward on my path.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am Adi Shakti, founder of Soulwork, where we focus on empowering holistic leaders and entrepreneurs through leadership training, professional certification and a global network of peers. What excites me most about our work is witnessing the profound shifts our participants experience as they grow their businesses and embrace their path of acualization via post traumatic growth. Our approach blends ancient wisdom with modern techniques, creating a unique and deeply impactful journey for our community.
At Soulwork, we offer four distinct ways to work with us, each designed to meet different needs and levels of commitment:
The SEEKER: Our free membership that provides access to essential resources and community support.
The MOVEMENT: A $99/month membership for Human Informed Facilitators of Transformation, with the flexibility to cancel anytime.
The JOURNEY: A year-long membership that includes all of our online programs in specialized focus areas, including the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT).
In-Person Events: We host transformative events around the world, from Cabo to the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh, offering immersive experiences that deepen participants’ connection with themselves and others.
One of the most special aspects of our work is witnessing the growth of a movement—a community of like-minded individuals who are committed to their personal growth and the betterment of the world around them. This movement is built on the principles of authenticity, integrity, and compassion, and it is incredibly inspiring to see our community members support and uplift one another.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, three key areas have been particularly impactful: Organic Marketing, Nervous System Regulation, and Trauma-Informed Facilitation.
Organic Marketing: Building authentic relationships and creating value-driven content has been crucial. Organic marketing allows you to connect with your audience in a genuine way, fostering trust and long-term engagement. My advice for those early in their journey is to focus on understanding your audience’s needs and providing content that genuinely serves them. Engage with your community regularly and authentically, and let your passion and expertise shine through your interactions.
Nervous System Regulation: As an entrepreneur and holistic leader, maintaining a balanced and regulated nervous system is essential. It helps you manage stress, make clear decisions, and remain resilient in the face of challenges. Developing a regular practice of mindfulness, meditation, or breathwork can be incredibly beneficial. Prioritize self-care and seek out resources or professionals who can guide you in these practices.
Trauma-Informed Facilitation: Understanding the impact of trauma and how to facilitate healing in a safe and compassionate manner has been a cornerstone of my work. This knowledge allows you to create environments where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported. For those starting out, I recommend seeking training in trauma-informed practices. Educate yourself on the complexities of trauma and commit to creating spaces that honor each individual’s unique healing journey.
Developing expertise in these areas takes time and dedication, but the impact on your personal and professional growth will be profound. Stay committed to your own learning and growth. If you don’t already have a mentor in these areas, becoming a free member of the SEEKER within SoulWork is a beautiful place to start.
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
As our company grows and thrives, the biggest challenge I’m facing is redefining access to me and setting clearer boundaries as I rise. This is super important for me to serve our amazing community deeply and also get ready for the beautiful journey of motherhood.
Here’s how I’m handling it:
Redefining Access: I’m creating clearer and supportive ways for our community to get the help they need that isn’t from ME directly within our 1:many programs. By trusting my wonderful team with more responsibilities and setting up easy systems for questions and support, I can make sure everyone gets the guidance they need while still taking care of myself.
Setting Boundaries: Taking care of my own needs is a must. I’m carving out clearer guidelines my work hours (10 years into owning a business – it’s HARD at first!) and personal time. Prioritizing self-care and those precious moments with family is so important right now. This way, I can recharge and be fully present both at work and at home.
Empowering the Team: I’m focusing on nurturing and empowering my team. By helping them grow and take on more leadership, I can step back a bit. This not only lightens my load but also builds a supportive, thriving environment where everyone feels valued and capable.
Streamlining Processes: We’re constantly looking at ways to make things flow more smoothly. Automating routine tasks, improving our digital tools, and making sure the team has what they need helps reduce the demands on my time and keeps everything running smoothly.
By embracing these heart-centered strategies, I’m finding a balance that lets me serve our community with love and depth while getting ready for motherhood. This nurturing approach means I can keep leading with grace and love, supporting both Soulwork and my growing family.
