Hi Marv , you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
I’m naturally a giver , we all need help people have helped me in my career and life so it’s only natural for me to help or give info .
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Growing up in the 80s/90s, it was this emergence of Blackness on television and in media and I always knew I wanted to do something creative. I could draw, so initially I wanted to be a fashion designer, but once I found out it was someone that dresses the people in the movies and magazines, that was it for me, Hi I’m Marv Neal Fashion Stylist and Creative Director . Have you ever met someone that can do it all ? Effortlessly a natural rhythm I can skate dance draw sew etc . My work can be found in or online Italian Vogue, Vou Magazine and Forbes,just to name a few !
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1 Paying attention to detail . 2 Be. A man or woman of your word this industry is all about relationships even tho it’s business treat it like you would your people you love to keep your name clear.
3. Be willing to listen and still push your client to grow.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
I’m looking to have a client I can build up that’s on the up hill in whatever their avenue it is but taking me with them from day to day to concert or video or press junket you know just cultivating their style from top to bottom .
