Meet Grace Schupp

We were lucky to catch up with Grace Schupp recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Grace, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

Self care has become such a priority for me in recent months! As a working mom, there are many things that pull from what I like to call my “energy bucket”. The biggest key for me has been to listen to my body and what I need in that moment. Some days, I need movement and I take a short walk around my neighborhood or I practice yoga. Other days, I need a nap and I give myself the freedom to take the nap guilt free. Once I take those moments to refuel myself, I can think more effectively and creatively. I’ve had many times where I have tried to grind out tasks while I have been running on empty physically and mentally. Since so much of what I do requires me to be creative, those tasks either take me twice as long or never really come together when I do not take the time to care for myself.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I truly love giving business owners the tools they need to find their confidence in their business, tell their unique story and break through the invisible barriers of reaching their ideal customers. There is nothing like the feeling of moving forward in your business with confidence and excitement, knowing that you are making a difference. I know because that is my story!

As a new business owner, I wanted to make a difference in the lives of the people I served. I invested in all of the “business-y things” that people say you should have with the best intentions of refining it later. But after a few years, I woke up to find my business no longer represented me or attracted the clients I was so PASSIONATE about helping. I was tired of feeling defeated. I was tired of trying harder and not seeing results. I was tired of making excuses and I was completely done with the negative spiral that my brain often launched into when I was not able to get the results I wanted.

It was time for a change.

I finally gathered the courage to dig into my mindset and discover the self sabotaging tendencies I had when it came to not only my business, but my life as a whole. When I stopped letting my brain run around unchecked, I was able to change the script. It was then that I discovered my unique story and value that I always had within me. I was ready to take on the mindset shifts that would enable me to show up as the very best version of myself- in every area.

I designed Focused + Intentional Intensive to get women out of the thinking that sabotages their business dreams.

You see, it’s the way you think that shapes what you do and the results you generate. That’s why you have to create that shift!

… and I am here to help you do just that through 3 Coaching Sessions in the Focused + Intentional Intensive program I designed for business owners.

Session 1-Powering Up Your Thinking

What you think about yourself and your business shapes everything that you do. Together we will discover how your mindset is creating your current result and how we can intentionally shape those thoughts to generate the results you long for.

Session 2- Discovering Your Story

You have an incredible gift + a one-of-a-kind message that your dream customers NEED! We are going to dive in together to find the right words to reach them right where they are. You’ll leave this session with a clear story and “why” that will shape everything you do in business.

Session 3- Creating A Plan

How are you showing up and inviting customers to experience working with you? We will create a plan for speaking directly to the heart of your customers, showing that you understand their struggles and can they can trust you to provide the solutions they are longing for. You’ll walk away with a clear action plan so you always know what to do and when!

Whether you are in a rut, trying to compete against confusing algorithms, struggling to follow all the latest trends, unsatisfied with the results you have obtained in your business so far, feel like you are desperately trying to keep your head above water, I am SURE, that together we can take your business to the next level.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Without a doubt, I would say that a willingness to learn is the greatest thing that has impacted my journey. The business and design world is ever changing and so I have had to increase my knowledge and skills in many different areas. Learning new things is also how I discovered the passion I have for brand storytelling. When I first started my business, I had no idea what a brand story was or how it impacted every single aspect of a business. It is through continued learning and reading that I was able to take what I learned, apply it to my own business and help others create the kind of successful results that I have seen in my own business.
I also believe that you have to learn how to be willing to take risks and step outside of your comfort zone. It may seem strange to say that considering that being a business owner is a risk in itself and is not the least bit comfortable. It’s when you get comfortable that you risk failing in your business. No matter what market you are in, our world and thereby our clients are always ever changing. You have to be willing to try new things to reach your clients and bring solutions to their greatest needs.
Which leads me to the third skill… Creativity! I’m not talking about drawing or anything artistic. I’m talking about thinking up creative solutions for your business and clients. Whether it is thinking of a new way your business can serve them or solving a problem that has popped up, being creative is a huge asset! I have seen so many business owners become frustrated or discouraged because something within their business no longer works for them. Instead of allowing that problem to bring them to a hault, we work together to formulate a solution that they have never considered trying to solve the problem. As Marie Forleo says, “Everything is fix-able”

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal clients are women who are taking that brave step to launch the business of their dreams and things are not shaping up like they hoped. They are discouraged about the lack of results in their business. They feel frustrated by all the shifting algorithms. They feel imposter syndrome and wonder if they have what it takes to run a successful business. They are overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done. They are on the edge of burnout or in full fledge burnout.

These are my people because I was one of them! Every single thing I just described I have felt in the course of my business journey. That is why I am so passionate about showing other women business owners that it doesn’t have to be that way! Your business can thrive AND SO CAN YOU!

I want to help YOU succeed where I previously failed.

It’s time we get you clear strategies from a creative branding expert who’s been there. A woman who’s made the mistakes, took the risks, and finally built something after years of hard work that she hopes one day will inspire her sons to seek out an adventure of their own.
