Meet Scott Steiner

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Scott Steiner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Scott, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I discovered my purpose more so than finding it. I chased money for most of my life and it was never fulfilling. In 2020, when my weekends were taken away, I quickly realized how much I hated my working situation and how much it was affecting my mental health. So at the end of 2020, I quit my job and had no real idea of what to do next except that I wanted to do something that I loved.

My biggest love in life is music and I love bringing people together to have a good time, so I started exploring opportunities in the music industry and found myself organizing small events, doing Silent Disco events, managing artists, and eventually organizing two festivals. Throughout this process, I discovered that my passion and my purpose were to bring people together in a safe and fun environment for all. Doing these things and seeing people connect, laugh and dance, brings me the most joy.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am the founder of Cult-ure Collective which brings people together with various kinds of music events while focusing on supporting the local music scene.

I am super excited to announce our brand new partnership with A1 Productions, a fantastic team of people with top-notch production and a Danley Soundsystem! We have combined forces to build up the underground music scene with multiple genres of music and provide a festival-like experience in a warehouse.

We just announced our first event together on 7/19 at Bonfire in Atlanta called The Road To Sound Haven featuring headliner, ASHEZ, all the way from New Zealand! Supporting ASHEZ are some of the best talents in Atlanta, Scale, Kollapse and Hyist!

We are the first organization in Atlanta to implement a Consent Policy to educate people as well as prevent and resolve issues around consent violations. We want to inform people of what true Consent is and how to interact respectfully. We can all get weirder and have more fun if we get Consent first!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1.) Be Nice – treat everyone like the biggest VIP. No one wants to work with people who they don’t like.

2.) Give Before Asking or Taking – Find ways to help and provide value to the people who are doing what you want to do and they will give back tenfold.

3.) Believe in Yourself and Don’t Quit – Nothing good in life comes easy or quickly and the universe will test you constantly to see how badly you want it. It’s likely to be a rollercoaster and become hard to believe at times, but when you get through that get back to believing that’s when progress happens.

Just like with everything else, if you want to improve you have to practice. Practice these skills in every aspect of your life and it will become natural. If you can find a mentor that is always super helpful as well. Always ask the questions you have, not asking is worse than any answer could be.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m grateful for our newest partnership with A1 Productions. We found each other at the right time and mesh perfectly. We have so many cool things in the works!

I’m always open to other collaborations and building our team of dedicated individuals. People who are looking to get involved for the first time should reach out as well as experienced promoters, marketing professionals, vendors, artists, and performers.
