TheReal, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

Whew! Well as a BBW that’s definitely been a thing for a while now. Especially in an industry where everyone wants to look the same to be seen as acceptable and or beautiful. I like to let my personality outdo my looks. Ofcourse I’m beautiful most definitely but confidence and personality definitely the perfect mix to get you in doors. Besides talent. The major KEY is mind your business, and out work everyone around you..EARN YOUR RESPECT that’s the only thing that will last anyways !

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Kre’Shai i go by THEREALKRESHAI because im authentic! I can’t be no one but me. I can’t compete with no one but me. I started as a local chef in Houston. Launched my catering business (Kre’Shai’s Kitchen) in 2016! Starting cooking for big names like Jess hilarious, Trae the truth, Tokyo jets, etc. I had friends who did content and i just wanted to give it a try. After a few years of struggling i figured it out. FOLLOW ME ON ALL PLATFORMS @therealkreshai ! I also have my own bbw reality show coming soon !

Right now my main focus is being the best me and i can be and enjoying my life! I love making content that’s my favorite thing to do!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

If i could look back at where i came from, i can honestly my determination landed me here!

Are the 3 most important things you need to be successful!

Determination: If you gonna go for it ( go for it) don’t half step

Commitment: IFyou want it you gotta want it so bad it’s hurts not to have it. If you don’t eat sleep and breathe your dreams you not committed to what you want enough

Love:’if you don’t love what you do, why are you doin it?

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

This has been a trying year. But through it all, i learned a lot about myself. And i can honestly say my ability to persevere has grown stronger. If i want something I WILL work for it. Another area i noticed my growth is My sense of self has grown. I know who i am and that’s a must in a world full of fakeness!
