Candice, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Finding my purpose in creative direction has been a deep personal journey with exploring my passions & setting very clear goals. I also believe in being authentic to myself has helped me cultivate a fulfilling and meaningful practice. Finding your purpose is journey and its okay to evolve and refine your creative direction along the way.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, I find three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were particularly impactful:
Continuous Learning and Adaptability: The ability to learn continuously and adapt to new information, technologies, and circumstances has been crucial. In a rapidly changing world, staying updated and flexible allows for growth and resilience. Advice: Early on, cultivate a habit of curiosity and a willingness to learn from diverse sources. Seek feedback and be open to trying new approaches!
Communication Skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal, has been essential in every aspect of my journey. Whether conveying ideas, collaborating with others, or presenting findings, clear and persuasive communication is key. I believe in staying transparent always!
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: The ability to analyze situations, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions has been invaluable.
Advice for Early Journey:
Embrace a Growth Mindset: Understand that skills and abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work. Embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and improve.
Stay Resilient: Recognize that setbacks and failures are part of the journey. All my failures have led me to where I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful!
Network and Collaborate: I tell everyone always every one you meet is another step to more oppurtunties! Collaboration can open doors to new perspectives and partnerships!
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents taught me was how to communicate. My parents played a pivotal role in shaping my approach to communication. From an early age, they emphasized the importance of listening attentively and speaking with clarity and empathy. They taught me that effective communication is not just about conveying information but also about understanding others’ perspectives and building meaningful connections. Their guidance encouraged me to express myself confidently while respecting different viewpoints. Through their example of open dialogue and supportive encouragement, they instilled in me a lifelong appreciation for the power of communication in fostering understanding and collaboration. I suppose that’s why i’m so genuinely in love with sharing the stories of the brands I work for.
