Meet Emma Andrews

We were lucky to catch up with Emma Andrews recently and have shared our conversation below.

Emma, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

When I think about finding my purpose, I feel so humbled. The moments that have taken me closest to finding my purpose have been the moments of letting go, trusting and finding the courage to be myself.

It hasn’t been always easy or fun. My journey began my freshman year of college when I suddenly became ill with chronic pain and other challenging to diagnose symptoms. During this time I felt very alone and unsupported. I was able to receive diagnosis from the western medical system, but there was nothing they could offer me to support me through the symptoms that were becoming more and more painful. I had to go inward to find healing for myself.

I began learning about energy, And practising different therapies, including Reiki, meditation and spending time in nature. The closer I came to aligning with who I was and what my needs, thoughts and emotions were, the more I was able to sense into the gift of who I am and how special it was that I exist here on this earth.

It was when I was meditating in nature one day that my Intuitive gifts first opened up. I received such a powerful message of love and acceptance- I felt more loved than I ever had before. I felt so grateful for this experience. I wanted to nurture this part of myself and share it with the world.

This launched me on my journey of sharing my gifts and purpose with others. I now work full-time as a professional Intuitive and teach intuition around the world.

How true it is that we don’t “find” our purpose. Our purpose finds us. The more we can get out of the way, heal and love ourselves, the more our gifts will be revealed to us. And we will be able to shine brighter and brighter our light in the world.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am so grateful to be able to do the work I do in the world. As a professional Intuitive and intuition teacher, I spend my days supporting individuals to experiencing their fullest potential. My Intuitive Sessions are a chance for you to learn more about your energy and your life.

In the beginning of an Intuitive Session, I connect with your higher self and your guides. As a clairvoyant, I will see your energy and will make notes about how your energy is flowing and other information that’s coming through about you in your life.

The purpose for these Sessions is to bring through really practical and supportive guidance to encourage you to step more fully into your most radiant life, as well as give perspective, insight and tools to more easily navigate any challenges you may be facing.

I use my trainings in somatic therapy, Reiki and energy medicine to provide well-researched, simple exercises for you to begin to see real shifts happening in your life.

People are surprised to know that many of my sessions happen over the phone with people I’ve never met before. In the beginning of the session, I will share the information I’m receiving and often I answer peoples questions before they even have time to ask them!

One of the things I love most in the whole world is to teach others how to connect with their own intuition. This is why years ago I created The Intuitive Method. This online training takes you step-by-step to learn about the foundational pieces that are essential to building a strong intuition. Over 12 weeks, we work together in small groups, practice and learn tools and techniques to expand your Intuitive potential. By the end of this course, you will feel comfortable making decisions from your intuition and you will be able to rely on your intuition to support you in your everyday life.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Courage
The first skill I’d like to share that was an essential piece of my journey is courage. It has taken a lot of courage for me to be where I am. As a young woman in the world, I was taught to say things that were pleasing to others and that kept other people comfortable. Through my journey, I have learned that what’s most important is being honest with myself. And this takes courage!! It is not easy to stay home when other people want us to go out. It is not easy to say no when it feels safer to say yes. It has taken a lot of courage for me to be able to speak about the things that I experience in the subtle realm and in my inner world. It has taken courage to be honest about my experiences. It has taken courage to tell people that I’m an intuitive and a medium. It has taken a lot of courage to trust that I am here for myself, and then I’ve got my back. The best advice I ever learned about courage is that courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s doing things in spite of the discomfort. So if you are taking steps towards what you know is right, I believe in you! If its uncomfortable, scary, or if you feel alone, this discomfort is not a problem. It is actually a sign that you’re walking in the right direction. Eventually, this path will make you stronger and help you to grow brighter than ever before!

Optimism and generosity
Since my intuition first opened up, I have wanted to share about it with as many people as possible. I believe this generosity and optimism has helped me to continue to be learning and growing so I can offer the best quality services to my clients. I have also been more open to personal and professional connections within my community. As a professional in the world, it can be easy to compare ourselves to others or see others as competition. I truly believe that the people who need me will find me and I am grateful- so grateful- for all the other individuals doing similar work in the world. I think it takes all of us. We need to foster a perspective of abundance and collaboration so we can see that we are just one thread and a tapestry of beautiful creation. If this is something you struggle with or if you find yourself comparing or competing with others in your community, I’d like to invite you to spend some time switching that story. I wonder how it would feel to be grateful and supportive to the other practitioners around you? This practice has been a really essential part of my work and I believe it has embedded my work with many, many blessings.

A perspective of Love and acceptance
This skill is one I didn’t know much about to begin with. I was very good at loving and accepting other people, including their faults and imperfections. But when it came to me, I had a very different dialogue within myself. When I first started my business, I realised how much of a perfectionist I was and how critical I could be of myself all day long. To this day, I work every day at expanding my capacity for self-love and accepting myself exactly as I am. The more we can love and accept ourselves in the moment the more freedom we have to be ourselves and share our gifts with the world. You are worthy and deserving of love exactly as you are. And it takes work and practice to align your thoughts with this truth. This is something I will be working on for a long time to come and I invite you to join me as well. What if I find it easy to receive love and appreciation at all times?

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who is open-minded, curious and desiring a positive shift in their life.
