KaceyTheSongbird, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I discovered my purpose through trying to get discovered. Meaning all the years of being a Dreamer and knowing that you have this gift that needs to be expressed and yet to know that I was expecting another being to discover me and direct me with their perspective of me as opposed of going deep within and finding out that all the answers are inside of me and have always been.
Finding your purpose is going deep within yourself and stepping out on the one and only voice that matters “Yourself” and then doing the inner work so that you can complete the outer work. Like the caterpillar becomes the butterfly without living in fear or worrying about your time running out Everything that you desire will be yours Especially if and when you believe in yourself then your purpose will flow like the yellow brick road.

Lately my journey as a singer-songwriter has been incredibly exciting and fulfilling. I’ve been performing and doing shows all over, bringing my music to diverse audiences and connecting with fans in various cities. Each performance is a unique experience, filled with energy, emotion, and the joy of sharing my art live on stage. Beyond the live shows, I’ve had the honor of being an invited guest on several morning shows and podcasts. These platforms have given me the opportunity to share my story, discuss my creative process, and reach new listeners who resonate with my music and message. Additionally, I’ve been passionately pursuing my acting career, taking on roles that challenge and inspire me. Another milestone in my career is that Kacey The Songbird has just been officially registered and trademarked with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This achievement not only solidifies my brand but also protects my artistic identity as I continue to grow and expand my presence in the entertainment industry.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
As a singer – songwriter, I believe that reputation, drive and positivity are the three most impactful qualities on my journey. Reputation is crucial because it builds trust and credibility with my audience, industry professionals, and collaborators, ensuring that my music is taken seriously and reaches the right ears. Drive is the fuel that keeps me going, pushing me to constantly create, perform, and improve, despite the inevitable challenges and setbacks in the music industry. Positivity, on the other hand is the light that guides me through tough times, allowing me to maintain a hopeful and resilient mindset. Together, these qualities not only shape my career but also inspire my music, enabling me to connect deeply with my listeners and fulfill my mission to heal families, communities, and the world through my art.
For those early in their journey, developing positivity, reputation, and drive is essential to success. To cultivate positivity, surround yourself with supportive people, practice gratitude, and focus on your progress rather than setbacks. This mindset will help you stay sharp, confident and motivated. Building a strong reputation requires consistent professionalism, reliability, and integrity. Always deliver your best work, be punctual, and treat everyone with respect. Your reputation is your calling card, and it opens doors to new opportunities. To enhance your drive, set clear, achievable goals and break them into smaller steps. Celebrate each milestone and stay disciplined in your practice and learning. Remember, persistence is key; even small consistent efforts lead to significant progress over time. By nurturing these qualities, you’ll lay a solid foundation for a successful and fulfilling career.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
In the journey of life, there are moments that define who we are and shape who we become. For me, the most impactful thing my parents have done is their unwavering support and stability as I navigate the unpredictable path as an artist. Their consistent presence and encouragement have been the bedrock upon which I build my dreams, giving me the confidence to take risks, make bold choices, and persevere through failures.
As a singer songwriter from Detroit now living in Los Angeles, the artists life is full of uncertainties and challenges. Each step I take, whether it’s performing at a new venue, recording a new song, or collaborating with other artists, comes with its own set of risks. There are times when things don’t go as planned, when I face setbacks and failures. During these times, my parents’ support acts as a launch pad, allowing me to regroup and try again with renewed vigor.
Their support extends beyond the practicalities of my career. They provide a safe space where I can express my fears, celebrate my successes, and seek advice. Their home is a sanctuary where I can recharge and find clarity amidst the chaos of the music industry. This stability is crucial for my mental and emotional health
In essence. my parent’s impact on my life is immeasurable. Their unwavering support, active involvement, and practical assistance have been instrumental in my journey as an artist. They have created a foundation of love and stability that empowers me to take risks, embrace failures, and pursue my dreams with determination. I am profoundly grateful for their presence in my life, and I strive to honor their support by becoming the best artist I can be.
