We recently connected with Maria Param Sukh Pensavalle and have shared our conversation below.
Maria Param Sukh, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I grew up being very sensitive and with a total lack of self-esteem that brought me to develop a series of important mental health issues. My whole adolescence and early youth were characterized by anxiety, depression and several eating disorders. I remember times when I couldn’t even walk freely on the street without feeling embarrassed because I felt everyone’s eyes on me.
Everything changed when I started practising Kundalini Yoga. I was 28 Years old, and after many years looking for the right tools to help me get out of my troubles, I finally felt resonating with something. And actually this “something” totally changed my life in no time. After just few months of practice I noticed I was a lot more confident, and now, after more than a decade of spiritual and physical work on myself – through different paths, not just Kundalini Yoga – I can definitively tell that I am a strong, confident woman. I vividly remember that time I looked in the mirror and for the first time liked what was in front of me; it was a powerful feeling. And this is something I could never even imagine 11 years ago.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My Spiritual Name is Param Sukh and it means “The Great Peacemaker”, indeed this is the feeling I often leave on people .
As a dedicated Yoga teacher, spiritual counsellor, healer, and doula, I am committed to empowering women to reconnect with their true power and magnetism. My multifaceted approach includes Kundalini Yoga, Shakti Dance® – the Yoga of Dance, somatic releasing techniques, rituals, coaching, counselling tools, Sat Nam Rasayan (a meditative healing technique), Breathwalk, manifestation techniques, and card and numerology readings. Each journey I craft is unique, tailored to help women authentically unleash their true nature.
My work focuses on fostering independence—emotional, economic, and beyond—and promoting self-acceptance. The women I have worked with have experienced profound benefits, including overcoming panic attacks, anxiety, and depression; achieving pregnancy after numerous attempts; discovering their true purpose in life; breaking through stagnation in their personal and professional lives; and reconnecting with their partners.
I am particularly passionate about supporting pregnant women and new mothers, guiding them towards a beautiful and conscious pregnancy and helping them navigate the challenges of motherhood. I advocate for conscious and gentle parenting, emphasizing that parents must first work on themselves to raise balanced children. Additionally, I specialize in yoga for overcoming addictions, bringing a unique perspective through my medical studies to the holistic realm.
I am excited to announce several upcoming programs:
“Free Woman Sexuality”: Designed to help women reconnect with their bodies and express their sexuality in a healthy and liberated way, especially those experiencing blockages.
“The Sacred Temple”: For women seeking to make peace with their bodies, regardless of shape, weight, or form, and to express their true beauty with confidence.
I also offer “The Digital Wealth Academy” to spiritual entrepreneurs who wish to maintain an authentic online presence while aligning with their soul mission. This program includes Master Resell Rights, providing an excellent opportunity for passive income.
In addition to these programs, I provide healing sessions, intuitive card readings for consciousness, and online yoga classes. My services are available in both English and Italian.
By integrating these diverse tools and techniques, I strive to create transformative experiences that empower women to live their most authentic and vibrant lives.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back at my life, I recognize that my ability to keep up, despite the difficulties, is the one that saved me.
At a certain point in my life I decided to add 2 cornerstones that are equally important to me: deciding that at every moment of our life we have the opportunity to choose (and so stop feeling victimized by circumstances or other people) and that the mind lies (and therefore we can use it as a tool and observe it from a third party point of view, making it “work” for us).
To those who are in a difficult time or have just begun a path towards awareness, I would advise you to find a guide that can direct you; for me, nothing of everything I have done in life would have been possible without a true guide.
Remembering that the right guide sometimes puts you in trouble, tells you uncomfortable things, puts your fears and your shadows in front of you… and even there you always have a choice: stay and see what’s beyond that jump, or run away and complain as you always did, and then find yourself back where you started.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
My number one challenge right now is distraction. We can get distracted by so many things nowadays and distraction, just like addiction, comes in many forms and some of them are really subtle, and sometimes we don’t notice them.
In my case, my distraction leads me to procrastinate and delays my spiritual mission – which is helping women reconnect with their true power within and build a new Earth together. I am trying to overcome this tendency by meditating; meditation helps me a lot to notice when I am distracted, to move away from the source of my distraction and to focus once again.
