Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to EWELINA AIOSSA. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
EWELINA, so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?
Avoiding and overcoming burnout as an entrepreneur is crucial for long-term success and well-being. Here are some strategies that help me manage stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance:
– Establish distinct boundaries between work and personal time and set aside time to unwind and engage in non-work-related activities.
– Practice digital detox and disconnect from digital devices on Sundays. Limit after-hours work communications.
– Learn to say NO. It’s important to recognize your limits and prioritize your commitments. Be selective about taking on new projects and learn to say no when necessary to avoid overextending yourself. It also helps to outsource and delegate tasks. You don’t have to do everything yourself. Trust your team and empower them to handle responsibilities, thus reducing your workload.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

In recognition of her unique ability to predict industry trends, Ewelina has been hailed as a “CMO Psychic” by CMO.org. Her visionary insights and unparalleled business acumen continue to make her a sought-after consultant in the beauty incubation sector.
Topical Skin (www.topicalskin.com) is a CLEAN cosmeceutical product line developed with sensitive skin in mind.
With a commitment to clean and cruelty-free ingredients, Topical Skin aims to empower individuals to feel confident and beautiful in their skin. The brand’s preventive and corrective skin care formulas combine botanicals, antioxidants, and nourishing oleosomes with innovative synthetic actives, like peptides, that have undergone clinical validation. Topical Skin multi-functional products are used and recommended by skincare professionals as part of rejuvenating treatment protocols and as a supplement to cosmetic treatments. The line is based on science-forward research and utilizes bio-effective ingredients and phytonutrients.
Ewelina’s favorite Topical Skin product is the Hydrating Facial Cleanser because it is a must and a first step in any skincare regimen. What makes the Topical Skin Hydrating Facial Cleanser unique is its luxurious and comprehensive formula that is gentle and effective at cleansing the skin without stripping the skin barrier.
This cream cleanser is formulated with ceramide, botanicals, and oleosomes and is designed to provide a gentle yet effective cleanse while supporting the skin’s barrier, resulting in a hydrated and refreshed complexion.
Unlike traditional cleansers that often leave the skin feeling dry and stripped of its natural moisture, Topical Skin’s Hydrating Facial Cleanser is enriched with moisture-binding, soothing, and nourishing compounds. Ceramide, allantoin, algae, amino acids, and antioxidants work together to provide essential hydration and leave the skin feeling soft to the touch.
Hydration is key to maintaining healthy and radiant skin, and the Hydrating Facial Cleanser with Oleosomes is a game-changer in the skincare industry. Its unique formulation leaves the skin cleansed, nourished, and ready to optimize the benefits of other skincare products. The formula is suitable for all skin types, making it a versatile addition to any skincare routine.
The secret behind the effectiveness of this cleanser lies in its key ingredients. Ceramide NP, found naturally in the skin, reinforces the skin’s barrier and contributes to hydrated skin, while allantoin soothes and moisturizes. Red algae, with its natural polysaccharides, peptides, and amino acids, helps the skin stay hydrated. Centella Asiatica Extract, also known as Gotu Kola, is an herb with potent antioxidant properties, and Aloe Leaf Extract provides soothing and hydrating properties. Other ingredients, including glycerin, safflower oleosomes, and various amino acids, work together to maintain the skin’s moisture balance and support its barrier function.
In consumer testing, 100% of users said this cleanser effectively cleansed their skin of impurities and debris and their pores appeared more refined.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My professional track record includes a degree in business and marketing and over 15 years of experience in the niche areas of medical-grade skincare and professional channels, blending both “Big Beauty” pedigree and “Indie” credibility. My proficiency in product development is complemented by a deep understanding of scientific skincare research and innovation, particularly in the area of skin health and novel technology.
Below are three key skills and areas of knowledge essential for #beautypreneurs (skincare brand founders):
1. Deep curiosity and commitment to continuous learning about skin health trends and skin science innovations
Because skincare customers are well-versed in trending ingredients and basic skin science, having a comprehensive understanding of the dermatology space, chemistry, and formulation science could be beneficial in developing effective and safe skincare products.
2. Entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen
A can-do attitude, resourcefulness, and focus on long-term business objectives are key. Strong skills in strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving will come in handy regularly, while knowledge of market analysis and business strategy will make running a business so much easier and more efficient.
3. Marketing and Branding Expertise with Creative Vision
We live and operate in a digital world, thus the understanding of digital marketing space, consumer behavior, and brand positioning is paramount. Founders need to be or hire an expert who is proficient in creating compelling marketing campaigns and leveraging social media to communicate a unique brand identity and grow brand loyalists.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
I am a big fan of Tony Robin’s and Grant Cardone’s leadership trainings and business strategies. The key takeaways from their teachings are:
Tony Robins:
Model Success: Find someone who has achieved what you aim to accomplish, study their strategies, and learn from their experiences. Success leaves clues. Mirror other people’s success. Be in it to win it.
Grant Cardone:
Set goals that are ten times greater than what you think you can achieve; high/ambitious targets will push you to break barriers. Sales are the backbone of any business; never be complacent with your current level of success.
Your network is your net worth.
Highly recommended reads that any person can benefit from include:
“Start with Why” by Simon Sinek; Focus on “why” (purpose) before “how” (process) and “what” (product).
“The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene is another great book with these pearls:
Your reputation is the cornerstone of your power.
Never outshine the master. Make sure those above you always feel superior. Go out of your way to make your N+1 look better.
