Meet Allan Gromilic

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Allan Gromilic. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Allan, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

I would say that I develop my confidence over time. Working with clients one-on-one or companies/businesses, it can be a challenge to keep confident in yourself and your work. Seeing these things get completed start to finish really helps elevate confidence and self-esteem Seeing people happy to use what you’ve produced for them helps alot.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I have many hats that I put on for others. I do video and photo production start to finish. This includes the planning, shooting, post-production, and finalizing of all work. I am a one man army that isn’t afraid to work within a team. I’m always looking for roles in any of those steps mentioned, whether it is media production fully or just editing. I always want to elevate my skill and I’m not afraid to ask those questions or do the research when needed. The most special part of what I accomplish is seeing the final result of something I put together or something a team had compiled. Seeing others excited about the work is rewarding.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Being professional is very important not just with personal clients but all around in the world. Being able to positively affect a conversation due to high ability to communicate will get you far. This skill also allows you to discern from those that are only looking to speak to individuals that they want to profit from. Building this skill takes time, it comes from experience and speaking to others.

Secondly I would say that having a drive to learn is needed. If there is something I don’t yet understand within a software or piece of hardware, being able to learn on your own is a must. This skill is needed and I feel will only be developed through putting your time and energy into things you’re actually interested in.

Lastly having technological interest is undermined in my field. I feel some experiences might limit you if you don’t understand your equipment or software. Be apt to ask questions and research. Knowing what the limitations are of your equipment will let you better understand what you might need for a specific job. This knowledge will help you better understand client/company needs and how you can translate your services for a position you’re in.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am always looking for collaboration opportunities. In todays climate you can find benefit in working with people online like YouTube creators and streamers. I think that those personalities that have found great success have a better chance of uplifting those around them ahead of employers. With the good also comes the bad, where I mentioned previously you need to discern from those only wanting to collaborate for their profit and not mutually.
