Thanecha , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Life’s twists and turns can be overwhelming. I navigated them for years, battling anxiety, a scarcity mindset, and feeling lost. Motherhood brought joy, but also a near-death experience with postpartum pre-eclampsia. Despite the hardships, these experiences became the fuel for my transformation.

I went from Struggle to Strength in many areas of my life. Recovering from postpartum pre-eclampsia taught me resilience and gave me a strength that I didn’t know I possessed. That experience caused me to sharpen my focus and now, I guide other mothers through this journey. I’ve battled crippling anxiety, and currently am navigating Postpartum Anxiety, but by adopting healthy coping mechanisms, I have become a beacon of hope for others struggling with similar challenges. I’ve gone from paycheck-to-paycheck to financial stability and comfort through sheer determination. This journey ignited my passion for helping others achieve financial security.

My purpose has been reborn and refined by these experiences that have greatly empowered me. I now empower others by sharing the tools and resources I’ve gained from overcoming these challenges.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am the owner of AJO Consulting Services, LLC. Through my small business I offer comprehensive wellness services that empowers individuals and communities of color through Coaching, Postpartum Doula Care and Personal Development. Coaching is provided in the following specialty areas: Family Planning, Personal Life, Relationships and Business. My Postpartum Doula services provide crucial physical and emotional support to individuals and families during the postpartum period following childbirth.

In response to the current Black Maternal Health crisis, I recently started offering Family Planning, Parental Leave and Workplace Accommodation Consultations. this new service provides consultations to empower mothers, especially Black mothers and birthing people, for thriving families. This service bridges the gap between pre-conception, pregnancy, and parenthood, providing holistic support to reduce stress and build resilience throughout their entire journey.
I consult clients on areas such as Family Planning, Parental Leave Planning, Acquiring Workplace Accommodations, Financial Planning during Parental Leave and Building a Support System.

Through my services, I aim to assist every individual, family and business in creating their own oasis.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My journey highlights the power of three key qualities: adaptability, perseverance, and openness to guidance.

For those starting their own paths, embrace the lessons hidden within challenges. Don’t fear failure – it can be the crucible that reveals your true self, sparks clarity, and ignites your purpose.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal clients are individuals who identify as Black or a POC, are thinking of starting a family, are currently pregnant, or recently had a child, and are currently at a point in life where they are in need of guidance and external expertise, to not only get them through their current hurdle, but to leave them more empowered.
