We recently connected with Liv Talley and have shared our conversation below.

Liv, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

Entrepreneurship can be a lonely journey for sure — and while it sounds nice to say that you’re doing it all to serve others (and you may be) the real success lies in understanding that you’re doing whatever a version of you needed, now that you know better.

I became a dating coach, yes to help other singles find love, but also because I struggled with it myself. So much. And that can come across as selfish, but at the end of the day—you have to be doing it for you because you’re the only one cheering you on the whole time.

I have been blessed with many supportive people along the way, but no one has been here with me since the very beginning days of writing my blog and researching and getting it wrong.

So I’ve HAD to always do it for me. Audiences will come and go. Clients will come and go. But I’m here with me, forever. And that has to be something I find a way to cherish instead of judge!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m THE dating coach for high powered, successful women who have it all…except a man to share it with! Located in NYC, I work with industry titans, litigators, celebrities, and women in leadership to bring them a loving, fulfilling, and lasting relationship (that turns into marriage!)

My job is helping women rewire their thoughts and rewrite their beliefs about how dating goes for them, to get their happy ending on THEIR timeline.

The women I work with have LEARNED to live life and build successful careers + wealth by leveraging their masculine energy—but this is the very thing working against them! I’m so passionate about helping high powered women find their soft side to finally allow themselves to be taken care of and not HAVE to do it all, anymore.

I primarily help women through 1:1 coaching, however I’m also launching a new matchmaking service that can be both free or paid!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

As I’ve built my business from 0 to making its first (and almost second) million, the number one skill that has served me is inspiration over motivation.

I’m RARELY motivated to do all the things I need or want to do—but I am constantly inspired by the success stories of my clients finding love, getting engaged, and watching their lives transform as they embrace their inner feminine energy and WELCOME all that life has to offer…when they stop trying to control everything!

If you aren’t motivated every day, that tells me your vision for your business and your life isn’t big enough.

On days where everything goes wrong, I pull out my vision board and place myself into my future life in my mind and live there UNTIL I feel the bad things pass and I can get curious about what I can learn.

My vision, my goals, my dreams of what I want are beyond anything reasonable—so I remind myself to become unreasonable and do things my way and to let myself be supported as I build from my imagination.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Anyone looking to collaborate: I speak at events, host retreats, and am building a network of high net worth singles to bring together!

I’m looking for people with a Rolodex of wealthy single friends who want to help them find love.

I also am set to start filming a new dating series in NYC, and am looking for funding for production, as well as hotels and high end venues to film at//to host matchmaking events at!
