We recently connected with Jeff Bogensberger and have shared our conversation below.

Jeff, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes directly from my parents. As immigrants to Canada that came with very little, they had to work hard. In fact, I have never worked with anyone that would rival my Mom and Dad.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

The Laughing Otter is a multimedia entertainment company dedicated to spreading joy and fun, aiming to make people happier through positive content and experiences.

Our area of focus are:

Postive content website
Gaming
Multimedia
Merchandise and licensing
Web3 and emerging tech
Events

Coming up in the next few months we have Toast4Peace, where we are asking everyone to raise a glass and make the toast ‘Here’s to ending all wars.’ on August 31st. We will be lauching a series of NFTs to raise money for people hurt by war in conjunction with the event.

We also have The Creator Guitar Showdown and Walk with Purpose Gala, where we are brining 20 of the world’s biggest creators to LA for 4 days of entertaining guitar challenges. The event will reach in excess of 100 million views. During the event we will be auctioning off never before heard Jimi Hendrix studio recordings for teen mental health.

The Laughing Otter is making the world a happier place, one person at a time, because we all deserve to be having more fun.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1) Work ethic
2) An open, entrepreneurial mind
3) Trusting experts and members of my team

My advice to anyone going down the entrepreneurial path is before you get started know that no one else will benefit/hurt more based on the outcome of your business so be prepared to work to that level. There is always something else to do.

Talk to anyone willing to talk to you with an open mind. You never know where a conversation will lead. Some of the best opportunities come from people trying to sell you something.

You don’t need to know everything, you just need to know who does. Then when you get their advice, take it because they are the experts. That is why you hired/asked them.
