We recently connected with Maurice Harmon and have shared our conversation below.
Maurice , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
From not having I know what it feels like to go without whether that be shelter, food or people & etc. When being put in position of all or nothing it’s kind of like it’s all you.
*Speaking from experience with that mind frame you can accomplish alot. Even when there is support the knowing of the support may fall short puts you in a ok, I got this I’ll handle it.
Because when something can go wrong it will go wrong somethings you can’t control but the things you can it’s like I’d bet on myself any day before I bet on someone else.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
*I write & compose music to genres of Hip-Hop/Rap/RnB/Dubstep I can even do a little rock I’d say I’m pretty versatile.
*Im professionally working on a mixtape and singles & music videos to be released this summer on all platforms.
*Far as Motivational speaking I currently use my Facebook & my other platforms to just express myself artistically whether people like it or not because I understand see the truth needs no proof either it is or it isn’t
& I’m Just working on becoming a better me each day and spreading love and light and encouragement.
*Far as my brand… My brand is me my stage name Concept Corleone you can Google it.
*Oh Almost forgot I was working with someone on a website but I pulled back so that I could retrieve more information on what it takes to build one only for the reason that if im going to do something I want to do it right the first time ya know just have all my ducks in row.
*& at some point in my life time I’d like to get my foot into real estate and some non profit organizations to help others.
*Oh and possibly get into owning my own vending machines in different states.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
*I’d have to say Ambition – I’ve realized life will throw you many opportunities it’s up to you to have the ambition to catch em & keep going
*Certainty/ Faith – 90% of success is certainty
The other 10 percent is hard work
*Fortitude- no matter the road traveled your going to need it
*The advice I have for people that are early on in their journey
Would be ..
*Do not waste time there is always something to do or work on
*Change your mind you’ll change your life
*You will take losses meaning you will encounter trial & tribulations & that is all apart of the process but the key is to learn from them and then apply the change of what you have learned because if not you will get the same results over and over again
*Get connected – Learn as much as you can Knowledge is power
*
We are all the same people here just with different challenges
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
