We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Camille Sacco. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Camille below.
Camille, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
I think it’s easy to get caught up in thinking you are not good enough or smart enough to teach others (who am I to teach meditation!) however it’s important to focus on a few key behaviors when you are addressing a large group of people:
1. Acknowledge your feelings but don’t get caught up in them. They are just feelings and feelings pass.
2. Focus on the fact that you’ve done this before and it wasn’t the end of the world
3. Nobody is perfect and accepting mistakes are part of your growth
4. Remember – it’s not about you! Teaching others is about their growth and when you focus on service, it relives some of the pressure

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hi I’m Camille! I’m an American Institute of Health Care Professionals Mindfulness Coach and Meditation Instructor and a graduate of the acclaimed Palouse Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course. I am also the author of two self-help books ~ “Hippiebanker: Bringing Peace, Love and Spirituality to the Workplace” and my latest book “Firefly Culture: Illuminate Your Workplace by Tuning in to Mindfulness.”
I lead classes and workshops on mindful meditations and my coaching sessions are infused with down to earth guidance. I try to be both informative and fun in her approach. I want my clients to feel comfortable so I create a learning atmosphere that is warm, relaxing and inviting. My goal is to help people tap in to the wisdom of their soul by cultivating daily practices that will inspire confidence in the pursuit of living their lives with a higher purpose.
I also have a 25 year career as a banker and currently serve as a Product Support Specialist for Chase Card Services. Over the course of my career as a banker, I have won numerous awards for profitability as well as for customer and employee experiences. I have opened four branch offices for my employer and I’m proud to point out that my accomplishments and accolades are a direct result of my commitment to my practice of mindful leadership.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Get the most training you can on the subject you are interested in teaching, but at some point you learn enough is enough. It’s time to jump and take a leap of faith. Just get out there and start teaching what you’ve learned. You don’t have to be a master. You just need to know enough to start and you’ll learn along the way.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
We all get overwhelmed at times. That’s a given. The key is to realize this and have strategies to come back to a relaxed state of being. I have several “go-to” strategies I use. Some of them are:
1. Deep belly breathing
2. Heart hold
3. Tell myself “This is a story that doesn’t need to happen”
4. EFT Tapping
5. Box breathing
