Meet Jen Wilson

We recently connected with Jen Wilson and have shared our conversation below.

Jen, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Although today I’m confident in my abilities and have a passionate vision, it wasn’t always that way. Overcoming imposter syndrome has been a significant journey for me throughout my career. I often found myself in professional settings with executives, feeling like a child playing dress-up in her mother’s suit—an 80s-inspired tweed ensemble complete with shoulder pads and a pencil skirt. Despite evidence of my progress and growth, I harbored a persistent fear that others would uncover my perceived inadequacy.

How did I overcome this? I made a conscious choice to change, to challenge the beliefs that were holding me back in life. Overcoming imposter syndrome involved reflecting on my experiences, seeking support, building a community, and practicing self-compassion. These strategies helped me recognize my worth and capabilities, ultimately allowing me to pursue my professional and personal goals with confidence and passion.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Do you know how highly motivated and ambitious people are pursuing massive dreams and goals and are rewarded for their achievements with more opportunities? They often get overwhelmed with all the spinning plates they have going and can be pulled into the nitty-gritty of the day-to-day, losing sight of the big picture. Underneath all this, they frequently experience a sense of inadequacy and self-doubt.
I create space for them to slow down and quiet their internal voices so they can get clear about what they want and how they feel. Together, we develop practical steps for them to pursue their dreams from a place of contentment and self-assurance.

My approach integrates proven strategies and systems that foster lasting personal growth and professional success. I lead corporate programs aimed at elevating corporate culture and enhancing leadership effectiveness, and I work closely with leaders to navigate challenges and achieve sustainable success.

Through workshops and speaking engagements, I facilitate profound shifts in both professional and personal lives. My Coaching Programs provide a safe space for driven individuals to regain balance, find clarity amidst chaos, and confidently pursue their dreams.

At the heart of my work is The Catalyst Experience, an immersive program designed for individuals ready to make a significant impact.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Resilience: Resilience has been crucial in navigating the challenges and setbacks along the way. The ability to bounce back from failures and persist despite difficulties has been a skill I’ve had to learn over many years and now is a cornerstone of my success.

Empathy: Empathy has allowed me to connect deeply with my clients and understand their unique experiences and emotions. This connection is essential for providing effective and personalized coaching.

Self-Awareness: Developing self-awareness has been instrumental in understanding my strengths, areas for improvement, and how my actions impact others. It has guided me in making informed decisions and fostering personal and professional growth.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I collaborate with entrepreneurs and innovators who have built or are building successful ventures and seek to expand their impact through mentorship, philanthropy, or personal growth initiatives. I also partner with corporate leaders and teams focused on elevating their corporate culture, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
