Meet Carmen Flores

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Carmen Flores a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Carmen, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I believe my resilience has its roots in my childhood. From a young age, I was taught that the world has both good and bad aspects, but the difference lies in how we handle the negative ones. I learned that problems can be solved and conflicts can be faced and overcome.

Lessons from Childhood
Since I was a child, I witnessed this approach in action and adopted it as part of my mindset. This perspective has driven me to keep moving forward, no matter the difficulties.

Appreciation for Conflict
In fact, I like facing conflicts and uncomfortable situations because, in my experience, they are catalysts for change. Changes are necessary and, most of the time, lead to personal and professional growth.

Tolerance for Frustration
My tolerance for frustration is high. When something doesn’t go as planned, I persist until I find a solution. For example, my dream of becoming a flight attendant didn’t come true immediately; I applied more than 10 times before being accepted. At home, they would say I would be 100 years old and still applying, but I finally achieved it. I always share this experience as an example of perseverance.

Inspiration from Nick Vujicic
Another source of inspiration for my resilience was the book “Life Without Limits” by Nick Vujicic. In the book, Nick tells an anecdote about how he called 600 times to get a job and finally succeeded. This story taught me that resilience is key to achieving what you set out to do.

Resilience as a Habit
Resilience is a common trait among successful people, such as athletes, Hollywood actors, and entrepreneurs. The good news is that if you don’t have it innately, you can develop it and turn it into a habit. I invite you to be inspired by great stories like Nick Vujicic’s and work on your resilience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am passionate about empowering people in two fundamental areas: healthy habits and personal growth. For over eight years, I have worked in a cutting-edge beauty and health company that offers the best innovations in non-invasive anti-aging technology. We believe in highlighting the best in each individual naturally, and we have proven that small habits can lead to significant changes.

I especially invite women of all ages to join this business, where we not only look and feel great but also build strong teams and enjoy the opportunity to travel the world. This environment promotes not only external beauty but also internal empowerment and teamwork.

Personal growth is another of my great passions. I have read many influential mentors such as Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, and Mel Robbins. Additionally, I recently completed a coaching course. This knowledge has allowed me to make a significant impact on people’s lives, as I firmly believe in the connection between mind and body.

Epigenetics and the way our thoughts can influence our health are topics that deeply interest me. I am convinced that many illnesses can be triggered by our thought patterns and how they affect our immune system. While this may not be the case in all situations, I consider it a powerful tool for improving quality of life.

Sharing Knowledge on Social Media and Daily Life
On my social media, with my work team, and in my family life, I always strive to promote a positive and healthy mindset. I am committed to contributing to the community by spreading these ideas and creating an environment where we can all grow and thrive together.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I’ve learned that living in the here and now is essential for a fulfilling life. Morning meditation has been incredibly helpful in achieving this. Each day, I take a few minutes to focus on my breath, feeling it enter and leave my lungs, and observing my thoughts without judgment.

Practicing doing one thing at a time has been highly effective for me, whether it’s eating, walking, or working. This approach helps me stay fully present and engaged. Additionally, spending time in nature enhances my sense of presence.

Engaging in sports has also been crucial in connecting with the present. It requires full concentration on my movements and breathing, which clears my mind and keeps me in the moment, enjoying the activity.

In these mindful moments, I’ve connected with my inspiration and had my best ideas, feeling aligned with my passions. Avoiding attachment to outcomes and overthinking has also been beneficial. Allowing things to flow naturally and living more in the moment has significantly improved my life.

Another important aspect is gratitude—seeking the positive in every experience and shifting from a mindset of acquiring to one of appreciating what I have. I’ve observed that the more someone focuses on material possessions, the more ego-driven and dissatisfied they become with simpler things. It’s crucial not to lose sight of the beauty in every little moment.

Furthermore, I’ve found the law of attraction to be a powerful tool. It’s not about asking the universe in a magical or senseless way but about visualizing what we desire and believing it’s already happening in the present. Expressing gratitude as if our desires are already reality and maintaining that positive frequency has been transformative for me.

I particularly recommend Deepak Chopra’s meditation for abundance, which has yielded excellent personal results. In summary, these principles—living in the present, practicing gratitude, and applying the law of attraction—are fundamental to achieving mental peace, maintaining health, and understanding our purpose while embracing each moment fully.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Sure, I would love to connect with women and also men who are willing to change their lifestyle, to look and feel better every day, and who have 2 hours a day to join my team. Additionally, I have an excellent team that accompanies me. We are present in 54 countries and provide free training—it’s a win-win business.
