Meet Javen Jackson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Javen Jackson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Javen , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Picture this. The years is 1998 Almost the Turn of the 21st Century in LA, not Los Angelos but Lower Alabama. and A young couple has just had their fourth child together, their second baby boy. Though their marriage is clearly out the door they made a pact. even though they couldn’t workout they would do their best to provide the love, discipline and work ethic necessary to see their kids thrive.

That boy was me. and I always had passionate and felt a sense of purpose.
And that unique time period of their lives and the turning of the century promised one thing, endless opportunities.

My journey has been anything but easy but,
My self-esteem stems from my fathers words to me every night I would spend with him as a child where he would look me in my eyes a utter the saying “you can do anything you set your mind to”.
then my mother taught me pride, your names attached to it so do It right the first time. She also showed me what hard work looks like, clocking night shifts to provide for her children.

So when I began my start in this world I took that combo and ran with it. Had help from some of the most familiar and unexpected places, I had one dream and that was to be a Star. To shoot for my highest potential and never settle for less. I feel like too many people believe in me to not at least take a shoot at believing in myself,

Self-esteem is an ebb and flow motion and the actions and words you set in motion dictate the pendulum swing of that daily battle.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I use my artistic taste to create bodies of work that I think are interesting,
whether that’s music, acting, or storytelling.
Right now Im telling my story Along side Acts such as sauced up & sassy Anubia Storm, and in influential sax player David Nickols. With the Artistic direction of Erte Stillings We came together to bring vibes that you can’t find anywhere else in Tampa. RnB mixed with Pop/Soul and Dance, This group is called ‘The night of stars’
I encourage any and everyone to come and enjoy an electric vibes, my socials will be the best way to find out about the upcoming shows

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

the 1st quality would be the sense of curiosity I never loss.
2nd Physical Exercise, keeping my mind, body and soul in tact.
and 3rd , Diligence. building your confidence with preparation.

Find literally anything that is connected to the passions and hobbies that turn you on and walk through those doors. Prepare for your performance like an obsessed fan. Last word of advice, stay active stay present in the moment and learn to enjoy every second.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I believe that art is best when its collaborative, Artists, Producers, Videographers, or people looking to be Pilars standing together holding the gold 🏆 Im looking for warriors, professionals, people that have learned to mix both the left and right brain to solve problems and deliver incredibly unique art.
I founded a company called, the Lotus Exclusive and if you’re interested in being featured in the night of stars or want to collaborate in making music.
