Meet Cierra Livingston

We recently connected with Cierra Livingston and have shared our conversation below.

Cierra, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

A big part of where I get my work ethic from was growing up playing sports my whole life and being a competitive athlete. It teaches you a lot of discipline and to not give up when you mess up or fall down. That if you keep trying and have a strong work ethic you can become great. Also facing adversity and challenges in my childhood too taught me how to overcome them and learn to never give up when life got hard. Not everything came easy to me growing up, and I had to learn that failing wasn’t always a bad thing. That all the trial and error taught me how to have discipline and a strong work ethic to keep going till I succeeded. That If I worked hard enough at what I was passionate about in life I could achieve anything. I saw my parents have a great work ethic growing up as well, and that attributed to my own growth and character. Working on having a strong work ethic in all areas of my life really helped my growth as a person. Overtime I was able to practice and build those skills and habits along my journey to becoming an entrepreneur.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My name Is Cierra Livingston. Im a mom of 2 amazing kids, a Wife to an awesome supportive husband, and a passionate Nutrition and Fitness Coach, and a Birth and Postpartum Doula ! I love living a healthy lifestyle and taking care of my body. Nutrition is vital to me to function at my highest self. It’s my medicine and reset to having a productive day always! It also just makes me feel amazing moving my body like we were meant to. I love homeopathic medicine and holistic healing. Healing the body from the inside out is the best way to go to achieve true health. I am an online Nutrition and Fitness coach! I love helping other busy moms like myself who are either pregnant or in the postpartum phase of life find their confidence and identity again after having kids and learning to create healthy habits into their everyday life that are sustainable and stay with them for a lifetime! Mind, Body, and Spirit healing.

Mindset and discipline is key when it comes to REAL CHANGE. I love helping moms discover their true potential and become stronger than they ever thought they could and reach goals that were before seen as unattainable to them. My goal is for them to love themselves and the way they feel and look in the mirror again. Discovering who they are outside of just a “mom”. Its a great feeling and that’s why I LOVE what I do. This path that God has chosen for me in my life is by far my Favorite!

I also am very passionate about being a birth and postpartum doula and supporting mothers in that phase of their life as well.
I have a passion for helping Mothers live healthier lifestyles, while also providing knowledge and education to feel confident and empowered in their birth!

I started my journey and was inspired to become a Certified Birth/Postpartum Doula because of my own personal birth experiences. This led me to want to help support and inform other women to challenge the societal narrative told to them so they can start believing and trusting in their bodies again birthing their babies the way they desire. The way they were designed to birth. Empowered and Unafraid.

I started my business-Empower U Doula Care to help inspire and educate mothers to trust their bodies to love their birth experience! I believe birth is a women’s natural right and something that you should be encouraged and empowered to do as you wish, undisturbed, and without fear. You will remember your birth story forever, so it should be a memory you enjoy looking back on and sharing with others.

I am on a mission to help inspire, inform, and support other mamas to find the belief, confidence, and inner strength within themselves to be able have the information and knowledge to make the decision that is best for them and their babies.

I support mothers in all stages of life throughout pregnancy during our prenatal visits together, throughout their labor and birth supporting them emotionally and physically with comfort measures, and postpartum support when they are in early stages of motherhood when everything is new. I am there to comfort, reassure, and tend to their needs when they need me most.

You will never forget your experience and having someone there for you throughout your pregnancy journey and postpartum is so comforting and makes easing into motherhood that much easier.

I love what I do so much and who I support because I get to make such an important impact in other families lives that they will always remember forever.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I would say the three skills that were most impactful in my journey to learn were having consistency, the right strategy, and patience. These three skills I feel are most important when you’re first starting off as an entrepreneur because in order to be successful in your business you need to be committed and focused on the right things for long enough to make big progress. Having consistency is very important when you’re first starting off because when you are repeating the right actions steps over and over again you will eventually see results from your hard work. When you have the right strategy and plan that you do daily, weekly, and monthly it will help in all areas of your business. If your give yourself enough time and patience to work through the challenges and hiccups in the first year at least, it gets a lot better and you start to see progress from not giving up and staying consistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but when you keep showing up daily for what you want in life and believe in yourself enough, it will become a reality!

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

I would have to say the number one obstacle for me in my business and as an entrepreneur is overcoming my own self doubts and the fear of being a failure. Risking it all for what I want most in life. To live out my purpose confidently and knowing who I am and what I’m capable of achieving. I continue to overcome this everyday building my confidence and self worth up as I’ve gotten more credibility and visibility of my businesses. Growing my clientele and increasing my organic marketing strategy has helped a lot. Giving myself grace and knowing all great things take time too. I think as entrepreneurs there is always that feeling deep down of if you are enough to be able to do this, and be successful at times. Learning overtime how to overcome this challenge has been my biggest obstacle, but also my biggest success story. Im so proud of myself for overcoming all the adversities and challenges in my life and it’s built me into the confident person and business owner I am today. I know I am enough now and have the belief I can achieve anything I set my mind to and put the effort into.
