We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Robert Rossi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Robert below.
Robert , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Resilience is as much providential as it is experiential and inspirational. Each one of us experiences a tremendous life journey to the point of allowing new experiences; it only makes sense that the life we have previously lived conducts itself as such.
I feel that I receive my resilience from the energies around me and that it works with my existing energy to form the inspirations I need to overcome adversity. It is important therefore, I believe, to maintain good energy. And to remain mindful of a universe and energies at play that are active all around us.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Professionally speaking, I am a board-certified music therapist and music instructor.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities I believe that were most impactful to me in my journey have been authenticity; hard work; and consistency.
If I were to lend any advice for folks who are early in their journey it would be to take the road less traveled, that there is no short-cut or quick fix for things.
Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
The Power of Myth, Bill Moyers book with Joseph Campbell
