Meet Aicheria Ms. Cherry Bell

 

We were lucky to catch up with Aicheria Ms. Cherry Bell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Aicheria Ms. Cherry , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

My mother is the youngest of 10 children. It is a way of life for our family to share lots of attention, love and gifts with one another. Especially for my mom because she is baby sister. Plus she looks and acts just like their mother. Being Baby Sister’s firstborn that love and care is bestowed upon me as well.

I’m the eldest of thirteen children so naturally I learned to give and share with my siblings. Just like my mother and her siblings do with me..

I enjoy giving and sharing with my family, friends and community members. I come from a big family so I understand need and what it feels like to need assistance in challenging times.

I’m raised with Christian faith so I value serving and having a what word Jesus do mindset.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a natural hair care connoisseur, who simply loves the art of beauty. I educate, care, style and advocate for natural hair care providers and community.

Currently I’m working on awareness campaigns to talk about the economic and social challenges Braiders and the natural hair community are facing. While merging the issues so the aren’t addressed separately, but a Whole CARE approach is taken in addressing the issues.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

When looking back on three qualities that have been most impactful on my journey. Is my ability to listen to my clients. Perfecting my craft so I can deliver quality products and services. Being adaptable and receptive to change.

I am looking for people and organizations I can partner and collaborate with. I understand the power of a team. I’m looking for individuals and organizations I can trust. Who are willing and capable of moving the Star Quality Beauty Brand forward in a global capacity. That will believe and invest their time, talents and resources.

I’m looking for environmental friendly corporate sponsorships with the ability to amplify my voice and provide resources to assist SQB with awareness campaigns supporting the needs of Hair Braider’s and the natural hair community.
