We were lucky to catch up with Ola Sher recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ola, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism comes from the strong women in my life, particularly my mom and grandmother. My grandmother always taught me, ‘Ola, no matter what happens, stay optimistic. Tears won’t change anything. Always smile, dance, and wear pearls and red lipstick by Chanel.’ My mom, a super strong woman, also showed me how to remain positive in any situation. So, I can say that my optimism is in my genes.

I am an AI Artist, AI Designer, and AI Content Creator passionate about blending innovative technology , classical art, psychology, and fashion to create visually captivating and emotionally resonant art. My work spans social media content, banners, prints, and conceptual designs.

I’m thrilled by the ability to merge cutting-edge AI technology with traditional artistic principles. Using GenAI tools like Midjourney, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Leia Immersity, Luma Dream Machine, Photoshop AI, Runway, and Krea, I create unique, photorealistic designs that tell compelling stories. My deep knowledge of human emotions, motivation, and behavior helps me craft content that is not only stunning but also deeply engaging.

I am a top artist of Leia Immersity, and my AI art is featured on the main pages of the Digital AI Art Museum on Instagram. As a speaker at the AI Summit Digital Hollywood, I discussed AI’s transformative potential in fashion. One of my proudest achievements is my collaboration with Acer to develop GenAI content, which received fantastic feedback.

I’m also excited about my AI concept shoes, available through Offscript, which showcase my innovative approach to fashion design. In the coming months, I plan to launch new concepts and host workshops to inspire other artists to embrace AI.

As an expert in fashion, with over 20 years of study, and in the beauty industry, having been nominated as Makeup Artist of the Year 2020 in Orange County, CA in the “Fresh Air” nomination, I bring a unique perspective to my work. I aim to work in creative and advertising agencies and seek collaborations with brands, especially in the fashion and beauty fields.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey are imagination, a passion for exploring the world and non-stop learning, and emotional intelligence.

Imagination: As an AI artist, imagination is at the heart of everything I do. It’s the ability to envision unique concepts and push creative boundaries that has allowed me to create innovative designs. For those early in their journey, I recommend exploring various artistic styles and techniques to find what resonates with you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and take risks—imagination often flourishes when you step out of your comfort zone.

Exploring the World and Non-Stop Learning: The field of AI art and design is constantly evolving, with new tools and technologies emerging regularly. A passion for exploring the world and continuous learning has been crucial in staying current and leveraging the latest advancements. To develop this skill, stay curious and open to learning. Travel, take online courses, attend workshops, and engage with the creative community to stay updated on trends and innovations.

Emotional Intelligence: Understanding human emotions, motivation, and behavior has been invaluable in creating content that resonates with audiences. Emotional intelligence helps in crafting compelling narratives and building meaningful connections. For those starting out, I suggest studying psychology and human behavior to enhance your ability to create emotionally engaging content. Practice empathy and active listening to improve your interpersonal skills.

Advice for Early Journey:

Develop a Strong Foundation: Build a solid base in both the technical and creative aspects of your field. This will give you the confidence to explore and innovate.
Seek Feedback and Collaboration: Engage with peers and mentors to gain different perspectives and constructive feedback. Collaboration can lead to new ideas and opportunities.
Stay Passionate and Persistent: The creative journey can be challenging, but staying passionate about your work and persistent in your efforts will drive you forward. Embrace failures as learning opportunities and keep pushing towards your goals.
By focusing on these qualities and continuously improving upon them, you can carve out a successful and fulfilling career in the creative industry.
