Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Destiny Sampson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Destiny, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

Great question, I would say my mother. I grew up watching her be a seriel entrepreneur, go getter and constantly working on different businesses, starting new projects etc. She many credentials certifications, so she can always fall on other things if she needs to. She is a Licensed Cosmetologist and worked in Movie & Film in Atl, part time realtor and owned a restaurant, so she’s a jill of all trades.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Hey! My name is Destiny! Born in raised in Columbus, Ohio. I own Pretty Intoxicologist Mobile Bartending that specializes in mocktails, cocktails, lemonades and desserts. I am also an Licensed Advanced Esthetician that specializes full body waxing, facials and skin correction. I am in the process of finishing up my big project and will be promoting and launching Aug 3, 2024! There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The most important qualities running a business is GOOD customer service, you will never be successful without this and being efficient, if you don’t care about your clients, communication is key and taking accountability. Advice I would give is to not give up when it gets hard, PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE that was the hardest thing for me to do. I always was discouraged when I don’t get the support or any bookings, and it literally will take that one person for your business to jump, and make sure you take care of the ones who were there supporting you day one. They are your people!!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would definitely like to collaborate with other business owners in the industry of photography, food, drinks, events etc. When it comes to the mobile bar business you get really creative and it’s always a fun experience to be apart of forsure. I have so many creative ideas when it comes to marketing and doing little commercial collaborations with people who are in the same business as me so I definitely would love to see that happen one day.
