Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Lee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
How did I find my purpose?
My purpose was found in God, overcoming rejection and pain.
Throughout my life I’ve experienced rejection starting from school age up until adulthood.
I have learned that God is truly protecting me when rejection takes place.
The Bible teaches that even our savior was rejected.
Often times when we are rejected by people, we tend to see more value in them than we see in ourselves.
The pain of rejection comes from a false belief about ourselves and how we see the outside world.
The truth of the matter is that we are worthy & good enough. The Enemy attempts to use rejection to inject pain, & fear in the heart of God’s children.
In my season of rejection and pain, I come to realize that there is purpose in the pain and rejection. God, used my rejection season to birth my healing. As healing was birthed, so was my healing ministry.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am all things healing.
No matter which way you look at it, we as a nation need to heal in some way.
I host a global podcast; “Healing At The Table”. I am a faith based counselor and certified life coach.
I mentor women to live their life without limits and trust God through the process.
I have a program called “Launch Of The Bride” ; we fast, pray, and cover women who have a desire to be married.
We also work with women who are married that desires to maintain a healthy marriage.
The goals are to see God launch his daughters into kingdom marriages and to keep kingdom marriages together.
I am currently working on a number of other projects, such as a Women’s in Ministry School.
In this program women will learn more about themselves, learn the business side of ministry, as well as learn what they are truly called to do in the Kingdom.
Healing At The Table plans to expand internationally and partner with business owners and nonprofit organizations locally and internationally.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Patience: Patience is a virtue. When you develop patience with yourself, you can learn to be more patient with others.
2. Understanding: Having an understanding of “Self” is one of the keys to success. Knowing who you are as a person and understanding who you are allows you to limit your judgement against others.
3. Self Awareness: Self Awareness and Self reflection aligns with each other. Gaining self awareness & self reflection allows you to correct flaws that may hinder your ability to progress in life. Often times people make repeated mistakes that blocks their development and in some cases destroys God ordained relationships that should blossom into purposeful partnerships.
Take time to have patience, understand who you are as a person and gain self awareness and self reflect over your life.
Trust God in the process of healing and build yourself up in your most holy faith.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am looking for partnerships and collaboration.
I would love to join hands with people who are purpose driven and passionate about ministry & helping others achieve their goals and live their lives on purpose for purpose.
I have a heart for the youth, women and international community. I want to partner with local leaders as well as international leaders to help make a difference.
Help women and children heal and partner to bring clean water and resources to Africa.
