Meet Zsa-Zsa Rosado

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Zsa-Zsa Rosado a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Zsa-Zsa, sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
Perseverance. As a 22 year old and being a young adult, I had grown up quickly and had been through a lot of challenges/trauma that had caused a downfall to my mental health. I strongly support and advocate a lot about mental health by verbally discussing about that topic but also showing through my actions on what I do to not overwhelm myself in overcoming it completely but to try to minimize the mental health challenges to make it less overwhelming. In order to master overcoming challenges despite the mental health issue, is to journal about what you are grateful for in which you can search prompts for it specifically. Seeking help such as a professional therapist, venting to someone who you trust, and doing your best to have at least 5 minutes of your day to be present and enjoy it. Above all, perseverance is the main skill to have and to feel that there is purpose in life. Perseverance forces us to get out of our comfort zones in which it leads to success. Success leads to producing results and with results, you develop a strong drive within. Challenges that come our way physically, mentally, and emotionally, should not always be seen as a negative notion, it should be seen as a learning opportunity in which I live by the best that I can.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Zsa-Zsa Rosado. For the past 2 years, I have been part of the fitness industry in which I will also be part of the bodybuilding industry specifically to compete in Wellness. Throughout the years of growing up as an athlete, I had been involved in school sports and also Taekwando outside of school. Being an athlete that I am, I had never stepped foot in a gym which was 2 years ago when I had decided to weightlift in the gym, Working out at a gym, had made me the person that I am today. 2 years ago and now I was an introvert and became an extrovert. I went from just working out to now wanting to compete for Wellness. I went from wanting to compete to wanting to become a personal trainer. Currently I am training many friends who want to get started, get back, or to be held accountable/pushed. I am currently working on being a personal trainer at Self Made Oceanside. Being a personal trainer has a variety of exciting and special moments that I am looking forward to and being part of it. The most exciting and special moment of being a personal trainer is that I am able to empower my clients who I consider as my friends to get excited, confident, and proud of themselves of doing more than they thought they could ever do. It is such a special and powerful moment to witness my clients bring out their strength to push themselves for the better mentally, physically, and emotionally. With my personal training, my training style is to not only set a workout routine but also to build a speical bond/connection by having deep talks during our resting period which creates acknowledgment of one another to uplift in the most loving and positive way. With my training I do not have a specific time limit to train my clients only because I want to make sure my clients have the foundation of form, get an amazing workout in, but most importantly to be that someone that they can come forward and talk to in hopes to create a special memorable bond/relationship. Not only I keep them accountable for their workouts, but I also keep them accountable by genuinely checking up on my clients on how they are doing mentally & emotionally. To conclude, I will be providing workout routines, 1 on 1, couple trainings, online training and also will be working on providing prompts to do at your own time to take 5 minutes of your day to be present and reflect on gratefulness, goals, and finding inner peace.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most important qualities, skills, and knowledge to have that were most impactful in my journey is :

Perseverance – continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition

Grounding yourself – when you start losing yourself , it is strongly important to empower yourself to be fully aligned within

Patience- when being patient with your goals that you set for yourself or coming up with a lifestyle you will get in the future, patience keeps us from quitting and when we don’t quit , it allows us to master and learn from our mistakes in order to become better at what we do to achieve greatness

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
In hopes of branching out in this, I hope I can collaborate with personal trainers who want to start their journey in becoming one, trainers who has been in the industry for some time and potential clients who would love to get started in their fitness journey and to be in tuned within themselves. Looking forward to trainers who would be interested in filming in content or as well as just sharing knowledge to uplift one another by learning new things.
