Meet Dr. Letitia Wright

We were lucky to catch up with Dr. Letitia Wright recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Letitia , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

Definitely from my parents. They always encouraged me and
taught me to work through issues, not throw in the towel when things get tough.
They taught me how to pivot and re-evaluate where I am and where I
want to be. They taught me to take a moment to see if my goals had
changed, or if other things had become more important to me. They also taught me valuable critical thinking skills.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I feel most excited about expanding Wright Place TV Network and giving
people a chance to get their voices out to a larger audience. I have new
goals set and new horizons to go towards which I am incredibly excited for. Today more than ever, people
need to add their voices to media to create a full, complex offering to
those who watch. Presently, I am looking for new shows and hosts to open up Roku, Amazon FireTV, and Apple TV to them.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I love to learn and read. It’s easy for me to acquire a new skill once I decide it’s something I need to have. I’m also in favor of having those who have the skills to assist me versus feeling like I need to do everything myself. It doesn’t have to be me doing everything. If you can continue to learn and surround yourself with
those older and younger than yourself, you will keep up with what’s going on and have a good, multi-generationally informed perspective.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

Adding the right person to the team. I am much better at evaluating
people than I used to be. So starting with team members and then having
to let them go because they are not the right fit, is still a little
painful. But the right mix of the right team is everything.
