We were lucky to catch up with Anzo Gonzalez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anzo, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I personally believe every individual needs to think about what works better for them. I built my own work ethic based in my goals and what i want to achieve. It is hard to find your own way and built something that it really works for you but you need to keep going and at the end of the day it also depends on how much energy you want to put on your future, life it is work and work hard. I recommend find what works for you better and go from there, find your own voice and your own way to works things out.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am an Art Director and Creative Director from Spain. I have worked with some Spanish brands and other European magazines. My passion for fashion aligns with art and i found this a way to express myself and mixing two of my passions and putting them together. Currently I’m working as a freelance with different clients and creating new and potential ideas. Im very focused on expand fashion and create a new concept of art, I always have been very creative and with crazy ideas so now i want to explore and create without limits and im trying to put all my energy there.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back I am very proud of myself and all the effort i put to get everything i want. I started to work when i was 17 and i remember my family was very opposite to it. They wanted me to focus just in my career. That made me realized about manage my money and i learned so much discipline. That thought me everything, had to wake up at 4 am to go to work as a sales associate and also go to school the other days, now i think about it and i can’t believe i could made that happened. Im very persistent, consistent and stubborn so i think all of those are my best qualities and what makes me keep pushing myself until the edge.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
I think for me the hardest part and impactful thing my parents did for me it was they never told e what to do, they always helped me to do what i wanted and thanks to that i am the person i am today. I never faced inconvenience for deciding to do anything that wasn’t normal for others. They always supported me on every decision and that was shocking at the beginning. I had friends that their parents weren’t allowing them to take some decisions like they were telling them what to study what to do and everything. But mines always advised me for the best and guided me on every step.
