Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Natalia McDougall. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Natalia, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Honestly practicing self love and giving yourself grace. You have to learn how to love yourself.. the good and the bad. Sometimes your differences is what makes you, you! And always keeping a positive mindset is KEY. The mind is so powerful and so are your words. We are all in this world together and if we all loved ourselves we would love each other just a bit more.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I have been an esthetician, laser tech and tattoo artist for 5 years and loved every minute of it. What I love about it most is there’s always something new to learn in this industry. The meaning behind my brand Cactus Blossom Aesthetics is to “Blossom Into Your Best Skin”. And what that means is to live in your best form in all aspects from skincare, mental strength and overall health of your body. And on the tattoo side of my business I really love the opportunity as an artist to be able to leave my art on someone’s body. There’s lots of trust between your artist and client; esthetician and client. Two new services to look forward to later this year: tooth gems and white ink tattoos!!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three qualities that were most impactful on my journey as an esthetician and business owner is: CONSISTENCY is key! Nothing changes if you don’t make any changes. And when you are consistent you will see results no matter what. Being unique is very essential, always be yourself and people will cherish that about you. Last quality would be inspirational. Your content should inspire others to wanna better themselves in a positive healthy way. My best advice for starting out in the esthetics world is to never give up, keep continuing your education once a month and make lots of connections; you’ll never know how you may grow with someone with opportunity. Lastly always be nice and respectful to all.
