We were lucky to catch up with Linda Uriarte recently and have shared our conversation below.
Linda, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I build my confidence by embracing the fact that we have just one life to enjoy. It’s important to focus on our own happiness and live to the fullest without worrying about others’ opinions. Every moment is an opportunity to celebrate life, and it’s all about making the most of it!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hi, I’m Linda. As a mom wanting more time with my daughter, I left the corporate world and started Power Punch Ball. These protein-packed oatmeal balls are great for kids, athletes, and anyone needing a quick, healthy snack. I focus on athletes, using my sales skills to get my products into gyms. My goal is to eventually have my products in grocery stores.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities and skills that were most impactful in my journey were my culinary expertise, my sales and B2B knowledge, and my outgoing personality.
First, attending culinary school gave me a solid foundation in creating high-quality, nutritious products, which is essential for building a brand that people trust and love. For those starting their journey, I recommend investing time in mastering your craft, whether through formal education or hands-on experience.
Second, my experience in sales and dealing with B2B clients from my previous job provided me with the skills to effectively market and sell my products. For newcomers, I suggest learning as much as you can about sales techniques and customer relationship management, as these skills are crucial for growing your business.
Finally, being outgoing helped me build connections and network with potential clients and partners. For those early in their journey, I encourage stepping out of your comfort zone, attending events, and actively engaging with others in your industry. Building strong relationships can open many doors and create valuable opportunities.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client loves sweets but wants a guilt-free, healthy treat. They’re likely trying to be healthy and crave something sweet.
