Meet Amanda Clark

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Clark. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Amanda, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I believe my purpose is to help people realize theirs, and integrate it into their lives. Whether it’s helping healers expand their reach beyond the walls of their practice through social media, or helping a friend better understanding their direction in life, it all feels very intertwined to me.

This purpose became clear to me in 2018 when I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. At the time, I was leading the marketing department at an orthopedic practice and pursuing my MBA. The health scare forced me to reflect on my mortality and life direction, and this period of introspection led me to realize the importance of living in alignment with my purpose.

Once healed, I began working at a top marketing agency, managing various healthcare accounts including a massive health system and multiple medical practices and wellness brands. My dream of launching my own marketing agency for health professionals began to take shape as I started “side hustling”. My first client was actually the neurosurgical practice that saved my life.

I thought: If I can help physicians and healers share their expertise online, maybe I can help patients find their doctors. That, to me, is the absolute synthesis of my purpose—leveraging my gifts to help people who truly need it.

In my personal life, my purpose is consistent. I have a talent for recognizing people’s gifts, and use tools like Astrology and Human Design to help others make sense of their own purposes. While my business doesn’t rely on mystical insights, I must admit that my intuition does trickle into how I see my clients and position them.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

At my agency, we work with medical professionals—doctors, nurses, and healers of all kinds—to develop their social media strategy and brand, and manage their social media presence for them. We collaborate closely with our clients to understand their “why,” establish them as thought leaders in their specialties, and equip them with the tools and confidence to not just show up on social media, but to shine in a way absolutely authentic to who they are.

What excites me most about this work is the impact we have on our clients’ ability to help more people.

We work with both Western and Eastern medicine practitioners, whether an Ivy League neurosurgery practice or a functional medicine physician. My experience with both Western and Eastern medicine, combined with strong marketing and business expertise, sets me apart as a marketing partner and entrepreneur in this specialized space.

We’ve grown our business 10x over the past several years by offering one signature service: social media strategy and management. While this remains our preferred service, we recognize that some clients don’t need ongoing management. Instead, they seek a tailored strategy, branding tools to launch their presence, and accountability to maintain it without the daily management.

One of the main obstacles physicians and healers face when starting on social media is the fear of doing it wrong. That’s where we come in.

To address this, we created The Launchpad. This program begins with an audit and competitive analysis, followed by a custom strategy tailored to the client’s needs. We develop bios, set up accounts, create messaging and creative strategies, provide templates, conduct training sessions, and offer multiple post-launch check-in meetings.

The Launchpad is perfect for medical professional looking to get started or re-started on social. They can either work with their team to post regularly, or hire us!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1) Being scared, and doing it anyway
Throughout my journey, I’ve often been afraid to take the next step, but I did it anyway. Visualizing has helped me a lot — specifically Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work (read: Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and Supernatural).

2) Delulu optimism
I’m naturally optimistic and sometimes have what could be considered “delusional” confidence in myself. This has been incredibly helpful, whether facing medical challenges or launching a business. Believing in myself, even when the odds seemed stacked against me, has propelled me forward. Keep the promises you make to yourself, and stay grateful and humble. Keep a list on your Notes app of all the incredible things you’ve done so far, and add to it.

3) Developing processes
I believe in a balanced business. All structure and you’ll burn out. Too much flow and you’ll never get anything done. I’ve implemented structure into my work to enable freedom, flow and creativity. Without structure and organization, managing a business—especially an agency—would be impossible. I LOVE ClickUp to keep me on task.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is a talented, growth-minded, collaborative, efficient and responsive medical professional who wants to transform lives outside of the walls of their office, while giving their audience a sneak peek into their real lives.

People follow people, and perfectly manicured content is not relatable these days. So, it’s important to me that my clients can show up in their white coat, or in their sweats, but always with authenticity and value to freely share.
