Hi Terence , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose has always been within me, a divine gift from God. Upon understanding that purpose should come effortlessly and bring joy, I delved deep into my heart and discovered a love for capturing moments and uplifting others. Nurturing this passion has led me to the realization that by helping individuals uncover their own paths and achievements, I can inspire them to pursue their passions and fulfill their true purposes.

Greetings, I am Terence Penister, your friendly neighborhood portrait photographer. My passion lies in capturing timeless images that bridge the gaps between generations. Recently, I initiated Minnesota Faces, a project where I venture to capture the essence of individuals and their stories here in Minnesota. Through this endeavor, my aim is to inspire others to pursue their dreams and uncover their unique purpose as I document these personal narratives.
In my work with the Minnesota Faces project, I engage individuals in meaningful conversations by asking them three key questions. First, I inquire about their contributions to the beauty of Minnesota – whether through their business, lifestyle, or personality. Next, I encourage them to inspire others to pursue their hopes and dreams, fostering a culture of empowerment. Lastly, I prompt them to envision the future as if it were 2080, urging them to pass on their legacy and heritage to future generations while guiding them towards discovering their own purpose in life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

In my journey of pursuing my goals and discovering my passion, I’ve learned that resilience, creativity, communication, and consistency are key elements to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Creativity fuels my vision and transforms what I see into tangible creations that bring joy.

Resilience is about continuous growth and progress, understanding the importance of knowing your “why” to stay motivated and consistent. For those embarking on their own path of discovery, I emphasize the significance of finding your purpose (your “why”), which acts as a driving force towards your desired destination. Nurture your creativity to explore new ideas and enhance your communication skills to effectively convey your message as you strive towards fulfilling your aspirations.

Absolutely, I’m definitely on the lookout for like-minded individuals who are as passionate about our vision as I am.
