Meet Kirstie Greco

We were lucky to catch up with Kirstie Greco recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kirstie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Developing confidence and self-esteem is one of the biggest concepts that my brand stands for and I strive to help others find theirs within themselves. Growing up, I wasn’t the most confident person and was constantly seeking external validation to feel worthy of love, friendship, and other very basic but extremely crucial emotional needs. I went through cycles of turmoil because I relied on others’ opinions of me. I didn’t know how or what it truly meant to love myself and everything in my reality suffered because of it. Finally in my late 20’s, I was so mentally and emotionally exhausted from repeating patterns that I started focusing my energy inward through the help of my therapist while finding my own approach to self-discovery and healing.

The very first thing I did was shift my focus from the things that I wanted to how I want to feel from having these things. Aligning with the emotion of what it is you’re trying to manifest into your reality is the most powerful practice. Any time I’m trying to call something into my life, I journal out every feeling associated with what it is that I want and then I make a list of all the ways I can start feeling those emotions right now. When I started to work on my foundation, I visualized the most confident version of myself (often I refer to her as my highest self), how she looks, acts, speaks, interacts with others, her daily routine and habits. Then, I journaled the emotions associated with that version of me and how I could start making intentional changes to embody them. Slowly but inevitably over time, I saw my reality change and it started to form that higher level of confidence within that I am worthy and capable of attracting amazing people and experiences in my life, and it all starts with reframing my internal world.

Building confidence is also a practice of setting boundaries and leaning into your intuition to guide you through the process. I would often worry if I was going to make mistakes or do something that isn’t in alignment with my goals. I’ve learned that a big part of the confidence-building process is owning exactly who you are, claiming what you want, be willing to make your own decisions to get it, and knowing that if it doesn’t work out, it’s just a redirection in your journey. Learning to see mistakes as an opportunity to grow instead of a failure is another confidence booster because it allows you to tap into your creativity to find a solution. The more you find success from trying something new and figuring it out as you go, the more your trust muscle grows, too. Life is a series of trials and errors. At the end of the day, we get what it is in our highest alignment or we get the lesson we need to become the person we need to be to get what is in our highest alignment.

Consistently reflecting on who I am and what I want, setting goals, and taking inspired action from a place of love and worthiness has built my confidence in ways that I could’ve never imagined. Knowing that mistakes are an unavoidable part of the process in achieving anything has become more of a motivation to take bold steps. I believe in my ability to navigate challenges gracefully and find a creative solution, plus coming out on the other side stronger and wiser will help guide my decision-making process in the future.

Most importantly, I make gratitude a non-negotiable daily practice. It gives me a moment to appreciate all that I have, and all that I’ve created. Seeing how tapping into your confidence changes your life by keeping a daily log of all the things you’re grateful for, as they were once part of a vision and now exist in your reality, is the simplest way to build trust in yourself and boost your confidence.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am the founder of The Guided By The Moon Company, which started as my tattooing business. I never wanted to box myself in to just one thing because I’m a multi-passionate individual, which is why I wanted my brand name to stand for something that matched my big vision. I got into tattooing in my 30’s, which is so late in the industry! But it was only after years of deep self-discovery and healing that I found the courage to pursue a career that was more fulfilling and aligned with my passions, interests, and greater purpose.

So for starters, I am a creative that specializes in fine line black and grey tattooing. It has been a long-term vision of mine to pursue tattooing and I love this part of my business because I get to form connections with my clients through art. I get to know people for who they are at their core and the things they truly love so much they want to express so outwardly to share with the world. To be the person who puts others’ authenticity into art to wear forever lights me up.

I’ve mentioned that I’m multi-passionate, and I’ve recently expanded my business into the mentorship space. It takes a lot of courage to take the path less traveled; on this journey, I learned to use astrology as a mirror to focus inward and get honest about where I needed to leave behind old habits, patterns and conscious/subconscious thoughts to grow into the person I needed to be to achieve my goals. It was often challenging and lonely. There is a lot of buzz around healing nowadays and I love seeing that as a society, we’re opening up about our personal growth. The bigger picture for The Guided By The Moon Company has always been to be a collective of women who have big visions on their hearts and want to channel this into inspired action to transform their lives into exactly what they want it to be, and feel seen and supported along the way, and I’m so excited to finally take steps in this direction.

I work privately with a small group once monthly — we meet during the New Moon for a reflection/journaling and ritual. This monthly meeting stemmed from an intention setting workshop I held in April for the astrological new year and I love what it’s grown into. Currently, I’m working behind the scenes to make this group more accessible to join in April of 2025, along with other workshops, 1:1 mentorship, trainings, and digital downloads to support those who are seeking guidance in their own process of self-discovery.

I believe we are all called here with purpose to leave a lasting impact and my mission is to empower women to find their authenticity and confidence through art and community.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think one of the most important qualities for anyone on this journey is a willingness to have an open mind and see things from a different perspective. They say the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same things over and expect a different result, so the more willing you are to break out of that cycle and abandon your current limiting thoughts that are driving your actions and try something new is not only going to spark your creativity but also open entirely new doors for you.

Another important skill is to be willing to get up and try again as many times as you need to. It’s often not an indicator of failure, but rather a message that you still have lessons to learn before you advance to the next level, or that you’re higher purpose is redirecting you to think outside of the box, and this is where the importance of having an open mind comes in.

Finally, be honest with yourself and having a willingness to learn. There are infinite resources out there to help you achieve things you want in life, and there are people who want to see you win! Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but a strong indicator of the intent to grow and thrive.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who values genuine connections and authenticity. The services I provide in both tattooing and mentorship are deeply rooted in finding yourself and staying true to who you are, and seeking the people who accept and celebrate you for it.

To be tattooed is to give an artist into your energetic field and allow them to connect with the deepest parts of you. I always say that I am a creative to connect with myself and a tattooer to help others connect with themselves. The clients I am calling in are the ones who value their time and energy so much that they are selective in who they allow into this field and are seeking an artist who reflects that back to them. It’s so important in the tattoo practice because the art is permanent! It stays on your body forever and it will always maintain the energetic frequency in which it was applied.

To be mentored is to put your trust into someone who has your best interest and the best interest of the greater good in mind while guiding you through the process of setting goals and providing you the necessary means to accomplish them. The characteristics I’m looking for in mentees are those who want to direct their focus inward, set big goals and achieve them while laying a foundation that supports their success long-term.

If either of these sound like something you are looking for, then I’d love to connect!
