Meet Triveda Harris

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Triveda Harris . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Triveda , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience for me comes from my Mother. The way she lived her life and the challenges that she faced help me to overcome the obstacles that I faced in my own life. I had a stroke in 2009 and was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and a small brain aneurysm. I was told by my neurologist to get used to using only one side of my body. I refused to just get used to it. The process was hard and I fell down many times. However, I got back up. My mother taught me that no matter of many times you get knocked down you always get back up and to make sure that you never fall for the same reason twice.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m the owner of Wings Of Transformation Publishing LLC a publishing company that is dedicated to helping other authors share their stories of victory. I also host a podcast show every 2nd Sunday and 4th Thursday of the month entitled Believe In The Journey the mission of the podcast is to allow people to share the obstacles they’ve overcome that helped them to discover the purpose in which they are created. With the publishing company we offer editing, proofreading, structure development and most of all great customer service.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three skills that have made an impact on my journey have been determination, courage and strength. The determination to just keep moving despite what I was facing. The courage to step out on faith and let fear take the backseat instead of the front. Strength because it has taken that to continue to put on foot in front of the other. The advice I give to anyone willing to listen is to be true to yourself first. You determine the limits of what you’re capable of achieving. Also never allow anyone to plant their seeds of doubt in your garden of growth. Finally surround yourself with people who pour into your cup and not empty it.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful thing my Mom did for me was show me that it was alright to do things my way but know when and how to compromise. You can set boundaries and stand firm on them and the people who value and respect you will never be offended by them they would accept those boundaries without hesitation.
