We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Deniz Karnona a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Deniz , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose through a journey of exploring my passions and experiences. Working in advertising and brand marketing showed me the importance of creativity, but it wasn’t until I co-founded my first business that I realized my true passion was supporting small businesses. That led to creating Dreamers Market, where I could build a community and help others thrive. It took time, but by following what truly fulfilled me, I found my purpose in uplifting others and connecting people.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am Deniz Karmona and I am the owner of Dreamers Market. At Dreamers Market, we host vibrant Small Business Pop-up Events across Southern California, giving local artisans and small business owners a platform to showcase their unique products. What excites me most is the sense of community we’ve built—bringing people together to discover, support, and celebrate creativity.

Each event is more than just a shopping experience; it’s a place where families can create lasting memories, enjoy live entertainment, and connect with passionate vendors. We’re constantly expanding, with new locations and events happening regularly, so there’s always something fresh to look forward to.

We’re also excited to announce that we have an amazing line up of events for Holidays! We’re all about making dreams come true for small businesses and their supporters, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three things that really made a difference in my journey are perseverance, creativity, and good communication.

Resilience: Bouncing back from challenges and not giving up was crucial. My tip? Treat tough times as lessons and keep pushing forward.
Creativity: Thinking outside the box helped Dreamers Market stand out. Don’t be afraid to try new things and take risks.
Communication: Being able to connect with people and clearly share my vision has been so important. Focus on listening well and expressing yourself clearly.
If you’re just starting out, work on these skills, stay patient, and keep growing.
