Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Kierra with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from being under estimated, not having the proper support like most, have to push myself hard as possible because the storms I have endured cause me to push a million times harder for success. I was 17 working three jobs, being a young mother of two by that age, living on my own in a city with no relatives. I had to over achieve to put myself through school and not fail being I was all I had at that time. Its giving me so much discipline and drive as I elevate.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am an Entrepreneur that is so focused on building generational wealth for my kids. I overcame so much coming up, being a young mom at 15, I moved to Texas from Oklahoma by myself with my baby, going through so much but having to figure it out, having to learn to stay motivated even when didn’t know how I would keep a roof over our head, how we’d eat etc. I went through a homeless phase that could of made me feel hopeless but instead made me go harder. I am currently an Artist Manager and trying to build an empire with Stort Term Property Management and Air Bnbs for the Military. I have become very business savvy and have a lot of knowledge just sometimes get drained due to lack of support but I keep going. I know it’s all in Gods timing. I also offer Artist Development that helps upcoming Artists become label ready because alot of them don’t know you have to have your business straight before you can elevate to the next level.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities for me would be self driven, dedicated & staying focus. It won’t always be easy, it gets very discouraging at times and you may want to give up but quitting is not an option for success! I didn’t even tell the half of what speed bumps I hit that could of made me crash, but if I crashed how would I get closer to the vision and goals I set? Keep going your success can happen at any moment!
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
