We recently connected with Jojo Buddy and have shared our conversation below.
JoJo, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
• Since I was a small girl I have always felt there is so much joy in the world and wanted to have the opportunity to bring love and laughter to others. Through my Instagram posts with my two rescue dogs JoJo and Buddy I have the opportunity to reach people from all over the word. I love being able to see their posts as well and how their dogs have changed their lives for the better. Dogs are so free spirited and caring. They light up the room with their infectious joy and are always ready for a new adventure.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Social media such as Instagram can be a very powerful tool in reaching many different people regardless of where they may live. I feel energized when I photograph my dogs as they were both rescue dogs and deemed “unadoptable.” I feel all dogs deserve a chance to be loved and this takes time and effort. As a growing dog influencer, it is rewarding for me to see how they have grown over the years and this amazes me every day. It also gives me an opportunity to do something meaningful with my family. Road trips and local outings with Buddy and JoJo allow all of us to spend quality time together, even if we are just at home. Time is the greatest gift we can give both our dogs and each other as we all journey through life trying to make a positive impacted. Our journey together has been so special especially now that we are part of the dog community. It gives me so much joy to see other dog families on Instagram have a wonderful life full of love and family. I also find it important to utilize the Instagram platform to support local businesses in my community as well as around the world via posts.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I have learned over the years to believe that we all must try to find joy not only in the major things but also in the small things in life. We all have the ability to see the little things that happen daily and give them meaning. Through this I am able to not only give purpose to my life but hopefully to others. I put a lot of importance on family and enjoy photographing Buddy and JoJo with my family so that we together can make lasting memories. It is a way to connect with others on a level that people feel comfortable. I would advise others to enjoy their time with not only their loved ones but with others in the world through compassion and hope. Rescue dogs deserve this compassion and I am hopeful that other animals will be loved and cherished through adoption.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I would love to collaborate with small and local businesses. I am just starting as a dog influencer on Instagram as a hobby but would like to shine light on small businesses, especially ones that promote pet adoption, rescue, and humane treatment for all animals. These connections would be valuable in shining light on animal rescue, adoption and cruelty free products.
