Hi Big, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My mom! As a child when I was coming up watching my mom she was the biggest hustler I knew! From having yard sales to working at the bank (BB&T & First Citizens) to cleaning houses! She was always working to make sure she kept a roof over our head!
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Recently I have been more focused on starting my clothing line (V3T) as well as coaching my 8 year old son in boxing! My clothing line will be launching this September and I am very excited to showcase my creations! Last year I went through a rough time as I was robbed at gunpoint and almost had my life taken! Currently still on a mental road to recovery but I haven’t lost hope and am eager to show the world you can overcome anything!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
You have to know how to talk to people, keep a “go getter” mindset, and also be willing to listen and be open minded! Remember that you don’t know everything and should still be open to suggestions! My advice is to keep a open mind and the possibilities are endless! Don’t give up!
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The main obstacle is keeping my mind clear from distraction and understanding that I have an end goal! Distraction comes in all shapes and sizes but you have to find a way to fight through it so you can enjoy the sunlight afterwards! Currently working with my son on his boxing has helped me tremendously
