Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Gaby Azorsky. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Gaby, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
Imposter Syndrome is completely normal. Lately I’ve been thinking about how the best artists would doubt themselves, and if you’re not doubting some aspect of the magnificence of your vision, perhaps that’s another thing to reflect on. I find for myself, being honest about where I am and who I am is the best way forward. With my offerings, I’m clear that while yes, I have experience and knowledge to share, I also come with a beginner’s mind and the perspective of being a forever student. Always learning, always growing.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a healing arts practitioner and medicine woman weaving together Reiki, meditation, clairvoyance, and folk herbalism. I see clients one on one and in my monthly membership container, The Flower Portal, and I also host Spiral Deeper, my podcast established in February 2024. I feel like what is most special about what I do, is getting to be in deep listening and relationship with my clients — holding their hand, metaphorically, through whatever life transition they may be in. It is gratifying to be a safe place of trust, healing, and warmth.
I love having conversations with guests on Spiral Deeper, and even though it’s only the beginning, it’s amazing to see how many hearts these conversations have touched.
One upcoming offering that I am so excited about, is an 8 week group course starting in October. It’s called Root to Crown, and it is an 8 week course and foundational evolution of our three energy centers with myself and guest experts. It is a soft home for learning spiritual and tactile knowledge and tools, such as the chakra system, clairvoyance, living with the seasons, meditation, and song. Enrollment opens in September!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creativity, not spending more than you have, and discipline. My advice would be, create a daily routine that sculpts you little by little to the person that you envision yourself becoming. Change happens in the small moments everyday, when we meditate, when we nourish ourselves, and when we show up honestly. If you tend to the parts of yourself that want to grow a little bit everyday, one year from now you will have taken 365 steps forward.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I love this question!
1. GO OUTSIDE – Connect with the natural world around you, see the trees, go on a walk without your phone or without music
2. SHIFT YOUR PERSPECTIVE – Hang upside off your bed, move the furniture around in your home, clean out your closet
3. Take a moment, and take a breath
