Vadiamo, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
It’s been a long way (and I am still on it) starting from my first steps in music 24 years ago when I learnt every single thing by myself blindly. Only 15 years after I was ready to open myself for the world and what happened was fantastic: people started telling me how good I was (and I just had no idea about that). It made me believe in myself more and more. Sometimes confidence comes from inside of you (and this is the best scenario), but sometimes it may come from someone else around you!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Two things I do in my life are making music and learning languages. They both came into my life at the same time 24 years ago when I started listening to one of the European bands named “Modern Talking”. They inspired me for both learning English (in order to understand what their beautiful songs were about) and make my own music. Now I am here with my own songs in 5 languages (English, Russian, Spanish, Italian and French), I compose my own songs, make music, record my vocals and edit my music videos. Also thanks to knowing languages I travel around the world trying to promote my music. I have performed or been on TV/radio and made my music videos in Russia, India, China, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan by now. There’s more to come!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Passion and love of music, curiosity towards the whole world and desire to know people and music from all around the world were 3 of my qualities that let me become who I am now. My advice to all the folks who are also passionate about something is to do that and not listen to anyone else but yourself and your heart. Don’t waste your time, dive into your passion 100%!
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
My parents helped me a lot by doing nothing. They never told me what to do and never forbade me to do what I wanted.
