Meet Quincy Jackson

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Quincy with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic comes from a lot of big inspirations I have. I look up to a few mainstream artists when it comes to my work. I strive to be a great creator and performer as well. I look at artists like, Lil Yachty, Trippie Redd, and Gunna. These artists most definitely have influenced my sound and work ethic.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m an Artist born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I’m 22 years old, I’m currently with the label “Bentley Records.” My genre of music is rap/ hip-pop. I made a career out of it about 4 years ago and I made a goal to stay consistent with improving my craft and stepping outside of my comfort zone. I’ve always wanted to entertain people in some sort of way, so music just made it easier for me to express myself. Performing is a dream of mine, to step in front of a big crowd and rock a show. This career isn’t an easy one, definitely not for the weak, but music has changed my life so I hope that my music will do the same for others. I have a great catalog of music on all media platforms, I have big projects planned for the year 2023.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I look back at a lot of mistakes I made when I came into the music business. I realized how important it is to pay attention to small details that may not be brought to your attention. Three important things I learned were consistency, patience, and believing in yourself. The big thing is believing in yourself when you think others don’t. There’s times you may feel like no one is watching, but there is always someone out there who will notice your art. Study the industry, act like you’ve made it before you made it. Best advice I’ve received, so I hope it’s helps another artist out there.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
I’m proud to say I’ve improved in many areas. My confidence plays a major roll, I always knew what I was capable of, but could never step outside of my comfort zone. I began doing things I was never comfortable doing such as getting on a stage. I gained love from others and support that I wanted, it definitely gave me a boost that I needed. I learned that me being myself was influencing others, so I stuck with my plan and grew into who I am now.
