We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pamela Matthews. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pamela below.
Pamela, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I believe I develop my confidence and self- esteem after high school… because I’m a shy female and I’m quiet around people I don’t know but will speak but when I’m around my friends and family I notice I’m more open and confident so I took that and ran with it and build it up… and I’m more of a people person way more now and speak and ask questions!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Pamela Matthews, im a baker out of Cleveland Ohio,I’m 33years old, I specialize in Bundt cakes. I started back in 2021 I didn’t take it serious at first until I passed my treats around and people loved them, so then I start baking fully and getting order’s left and right and it started taking off.
I love getting the reaction from people and kids when they taste my dessert’s. Everyone’s favorite is my strawberry(crunch) cake and strawberry banana pudding cheesecake!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three skills that were the most impactful was me being a people person, love to be in the kitchen, and seeing smiles on people faces!
My advice for people in their journey is to never give up you are going to face challenges but keep your head up high and keep going. Take a break if you need to, but get right back to it.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes, I would love to partner or collaborate with people that does event panning or birthday parties or even other bakeries!
