We were lucky to catch up with Megan Divincenzo recently and have shared our conversation below.
Megan, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I believe I found my purpose by being curious, and always searching and striving for more. I am never happy with settling and I always think there is more to learn and grow from. I also do a lot of the inner work on myself to understand what brings me joy and how I can distribute that joy and knowledge to others .

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Megan is the Founder of The Sis Kiss, ex-defense attorney, badass, wife, mother, and friend.
Megan started her career as a trial attorney, which seemed perfectly matched with her talkative, enthusiastic, and dramatic nature. She thrived…until she didn’t. She found herself feeling depressed and anxious, and one day had a panic attack in court. She knew she had to make a change.
Thankfully, before Megan’s exit from law, Megan and her sister had started The Sis Kiss. It was the side hustle the sisters loved that blossomed from their personal need for more dainty bangles to fit their petite wrists. Friends became fans, and then customers!
Megan realized the side hustle wasn’t JUST a side hustle to her. Her passion, drama, and desire had returned with every order and opportunity for growth with The Sis Kiss. After growing into the CEO role at The Sis Kiss she has never looked back. Designing, building a team, and of course, all things shiny are her calling, passion, and purpose.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three qualities that were most impactful on my journey were dreaming bigger than I could ever imagine, resilience, and loyalty.
My advice to others is to never try to do things like anyone else. Follow your own journey, and do things your way. Make your own blueprint and try not to play the comparison game.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
My husband has been the most helpful to in helping me overcome challenges. He can take emotion and fear out of business decisions and help me see things clearly and logically. He has amazing motivation and drive to do well, which makes me want to be and do better as well. He always tells me to “just keep swimming” which is exactly what I sing in my head when I think about giving up. Just keep going, it doesn’t need to be perfect or pretty, but just keep swimming .
